19.04.2026 - DEFILED EMBRACE: erste Single vom neuen Doom / Death Metal Album „Soul Of A Swan“ aus Israel

18.04.2026 - “In the Shadows of the Underground” — Daniel Knutz Rides a Subterranean Goth Groove in Video for “Echoes in the Metro”

Strangers pass but we have a chance,Silent prayers in the dance.Graffiti dreams on concrete walls,Every station, is a call.

Daniel Knutz makes music like a man who has seen the last train pull out, shrugged, and decided to turn the platform into a nightclub anyway. Based in Berlin with roots in Brazil, working with a stout DIY streak and a healthy disregard for polite permission, he barrels into Echoes in the Metro with the kind of conviction that suggests he would rather hijack the PA system than wait for a label executive to rubber-stamp his soul. God bless him for that. Too many people in music want a seat in first class. Knutz sounds happier hanging off the side of the car, sparks flying, grin intact.

The swaggering Echoes in the Metro takes the underground as both setting and state of mind. You can feel the swirling station air in it, that perfume of steel, brake dust, mystery fluids, and somebody’s regrettable cologne. The track rolls in on a shuffling beat that feels like a train finding its rhythm after a lurch, while the synths rise up in long, wailing lines, the sort that seem half seduction, half civil emergency. It’s catchy as hell, but with enough chill around the edges to keep the smile from getting too comfortable.

Let us pause here to salute Knutz for understanding one of pop’s oldest truths: if you’re going to sing about romance in public transit, you’d better give people a hook they can clutch like a subway pole at rush hour. He does. The groove has real body to it, moving with that loose-hipped, after-midnight confidence that makes even the most iron-hearted commuter consider missing their stop. There’s a whiff of Goldfrapp’s gloss, a bit of Nine Inch Nails machinery, some Bauhaus poise, and the lush, looming perfume of Type O Negative hovering above the tracks, but Knutz keeps the train on his own line.

The video gives that mood a sweet little shape. Its plot follows two figures traversing the Metro, their paths nearly crossing, almost touching, as if the city itself keeps nudging them together and then whisking them apart for sport. It plays like a cute vignette, but one with genuine feeling in its bones: souls circling the same subterranean world, pulled by timing, chance, and whatever weird little current runs through underground stations after dark. Hanka appears as “Victim of Time,” which is a marvelous title, half heartbreak, half comic-book tragedy, while Knutz himself takes the role of “Echoes,” drifting through the frame like the idea of connection given human form.

The photography deserves its flowers too. Streykatt, Gael Pettinaroli, and Daniel Knutz shoot the Metro with a keen eye for the romance of public transit, which is no easy feat when the setting is mostly concrete, fluorescent light, and the psychic residue of ten thousand commuters who missed lunch. They find tenderness in the in-between spaces, in the near-misses, in the way two people can feel fated without ever quite catching the same train.

Watch the video for Echoes in the Metro below:

So here comes Echoes in the Metro, arriving right on time with a good groove, a great hook, and enough nocturnal charm to make the underground feel like the only overground worth visiting. Mind the gap, sure, but maybe dance over it first.

18.04.2026 - ATREYU: The End Is Not The End

Selbstverständlich ist „The End Is Not The End” das bislang härteste Werk der Band.

ATREYU fahren auf „The End Is Not The End“ etwas öfter die Ellenbogen aus

Mai 2025 via My Kingdom Music erscheinen.

18.04.2026 - “Here I Am Missing You Again” — Child of Night Turn Synth-Pop Longing into Karaoke Catharsis in Video for “Old Moons”

Here I am, here I am, here I am missing you again

Longing rarely arrives alone. It drags its little entourage with it: memory, mischief, ritual, repetition, the strange compulsion to go out anyway and let the night hold what daylight cannot. Child of Night, the Columbus and New York City-based dark electronic duo of John and Niabi, understands that pull well on “Old Moons,” the second single from their forthcoming LP Conspiracy, due May 15, 2026. Out April 17, the track turns romantic desolation into something communal and faintly absurd, a song about absence and ache that still makes room for bright lights, red cups, sequins, and the half-delirious fellowship of karaoke.

Following their 2021 debut, The Walls At Dawn, Child of Night continue to refine their strain of post-punk, darkwave, and synthpop with a sharp instinct for atmosphere and a punkish sense of play. You can hear echoes of Automelodi, Lust for Youth, Boy Harsher, Nuovo Testamento, and Chris & Cosey in their palette, but “Old Moons” has its own after-hours chemistry. The song carries those sleek 1980s-tinted new wave and synthwave tones with a cool, heart-bruised poise, while the vocals ache with retro desire. The gaps between the synth lines, drum hits, and vocal phrases give the song a delicious sense of space, the kind that practically invites a microphone in hand and a little theatrical overcommitment. It has the mood of the cast of Drive wandering into a karaoke bar instead of confronting their troubles directly, trading stoic silence for neon confession.

Lyrically, “Old Moons” circles grief as a season without end. Time keeps moving, rain turns to snow, grasses yellow, new moons come and go, and still the missing person never returns. The refrain lands with blunt force: “Here I am…missing you again.” Yet the song never collapses under its own sadness. It keeps going, keeps showing up, keeps singing through the void. That friction between emotional heaviness and the will to carry on gives the track its pulse.

That same push and pull shapes the video, directed, filmed, edited, and photographed by Alice Teeple. “The concept was ‘What about a bunch of friends doing karaoke?’” John says. Niabi pushes it further: “But a little Lynchian, inching towards fun/absurd.” Speaking about the early conversations with Teeple, Niabi recalls: “When I was talking with Alice, who shot our music video, her initial thoughts on the concept were, I think, intrigued. She was like, ‘This is so fun and unusual and kind of goofy,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, why zig when you can zag?’”

That instinct to zag gives the clip its charm. “And I think that’s what makes this music video different,” Niabi continues. “Here we were embracing quirk, fun, joy and grief, sharing with immediacy this moment in time. We are riding the line crossing over into that dark place where you don’t want to go but because you are emotionally so down, you do, and it’s really hard to explain how dark it is, but you are still trying to carry on.” That may be the most precise description of “Old Moons” possible: a song and video poised between emotional collapse and collective release, where silliness becomes survival and performance becomes a way of keeping despair from swallowing the room whole.

The clip opens with a striking title card set against the familiar postcard view of Chureito Pagoda and Mount Fuji, a dreamy false dawn that gives way to the very real geography of downtown Manhattan after dark. From there, the video slips into Chinatown and the surrounding streets, tracing stairwells, subway platforms, neon signs, crowded corners, and glowing side streets strung with warm lights. Teeple lingers on the neighborhood’s texture: the blue-and-red Welcome to Chinatown sign, weathered storefronts, old signage, and the blur of pedestrians and traffic moving through the night like pieces of a shared hallucination.

Inside, the action settles into a richly patterned karaoke room dressed in red-and-gold wallpaper, tufted benches, marble tables, and plastic cups catching the low light. Child of Night performs in close-up beneath an amber glow, while elsewhere the singer appears before a red curtain in a silver sequined dress, all bruised cabaret glamour and downtown longing. Friends gather, pass microphones, applaud from their tables, laugh mid-song, drink, dance, and lean into the kind of warm, chaotic intimacy only the right room can produce. The vibe is playful, but never weightless; even at its most convivial, the video keeps one foot near the precipice.

Teeple gives equal attention to the night’s incidental magic. There is Niabi roaming the street with sparklers in hand like a one-woman procession; the melancholy geometry of subway corridors and station platforms; roller skaters slicing down a narrow hallway under red lights and framed posters; John in his sunglasses crooning into a microphone; a small dog tucked in someone’s arms; partygoers clapping along as if the room itself were willing everyone forward. The result feels like a love letter to urban nightlife in all its tenderness, tackiness, theatricality, and human heat, a pocket diary of people making meaning together beneath the old moons.

18.04.2026 - Dead Can Dance Returns with “Death Cults,” Their Second New Song in Five Years

Dead Can Dance have returned with “Death Cults,” the latest entry from their newly launched run of monthly 2026 releases. The 8-minute, 53-second track is now available on the group’s Bandcamp page, where it is listed as a digital release, accompanied by a PDF with lyrics and original artwork by Brendan Perry.

The band’s official site says the current campaign will unfold as a series of songs released on a regular monthly basis throughout 2026, issued exclusively through Bandcamp on Dead Can Dance’s own Holy Tongue Records imprint. Each release is stated to be accompanied by a digital PDF containing song lyrics and original artwork. The first entry in the series, “Our Day Will Come,” was released on March 20 and is dedicated to the shared national aspirations of the Irish and Palestinian peoples, with its title drawing directly from the Irish republican slogan Tiocfaidh ár lá, or “our day will come.”

Our Day Will Come by Dead Can Dance

That release was followed by Mnemosyne on April 10, though that item appears to function more as a digital lyric book/PDF release than as a conventional standalone song. That makes “Death Cults” the second clear new track in the current sequence. As of now, Dead Can Dance have not announced a new full-length album alongside the singles, and the official framing remains a month-by-month release series rather than a traditional LP rollout.

The new material also raises an obvious question: what is Lisa Gerrard’s role in this phase of Dead Can Dance, and what is her status in the band going forward? At the moment, there is no public clarification on that point. The Bandcamp page for “Death Cults” does not specify personnel beyond the note about Brendan Perry’s artwork and the recording location, and Dead Can Dance’s official site has not detailed Gerrard’s involvement in the new tracks. The group is still described on Bandcamp as the long-running collective founded by Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard, but beyond that, the current rollout is light on credits.

That uncertainty feels notable in light of the band’s last studio album, Dionysus, which arrived in November 2018 as Dead Can Dance’s first full-length in six years. Officially, the record was presented as a two-act, seven-movement work centered on the myth and cult of Dionysus. As Brendan Perry discussed in our interview around the release of the album, Dionysus was very much shaped by his own long-running fascination with the deity and the ritual traditions surrounding him. Given that history, it would not be surprising if Perry were again steering the initial phase of this new Dead Can Dance cycle, with Gerrard perhaps appearing later in the series. For now, however, that remains speculation, and the public-facing credits simply do not make her involvement clear.

The 2026 return comes after a long stretch in which Dead Can Dance’s post-Dionysus momentum was repeatedly interrupted on the live front. The group first announced its “A Celebration — Life & Works 1980–2020” North and South American tour in October 2019, with dates scheduled for April and May 2020. As the pandemic spread, those dates were pushed to April and May 2021, and then the North American leg was moved again in March 2021 to October 2021.

A separate North American return was then announced in June 2022, with 17 dates planned for March and April 2023. At the time, the run was billed as Dead Can Dance’s first North American tour in a decade. But in September 2022, those North American dates, along with the band’s upcoming European shows, were canceled for health reasons.

In the years since, both core members have remained active, though not always under the Dead Can Dance banner. Gerrard’s official site documents a steady run of work, including the 2021 collaborative album Burn with Jules Maxwell, the later album Exaudia with Marcello De Francisci, the 2023 live release One Night in Porto, and the 2024 compilation Come Tenderness, which included the new song “Whispers.” Her recent activity has also included soundtrack and touring work tied to Hans Zimmer Live and several film-related projects.

Perry’s official channels have been quieter, but they do show a few significant markers, including his 2020 solo release Songs of Disenchantment – Music from the Greek Underground. In 2023, he also issued an expanded reissue of Eye of the Hunter paired with Live at the I.C.A.

For now, “Death Cults,” a sprawling, incense-scented recording mixed at The Temenos in Epidavros, Greece, stands as the latest sign that Dead Can Dance are active again, even if the shape of that return remains deliberately opaque. It feels like a seamless addition to the group’s canon, carrying the atmosphere of another time and another world — something haunted, ceremonial, and palatial. What is clear is that Brendan Perry has chosen a direct-to-fans route, with new material arriving one release at a time on Bandcamp rather than through a conventional album campaign. Whether Lisa Gerrard will step into the series later — and whether these tracks will eventually point toward a larger body of work — remains to be seen.

17.04.2026 - “Death and War Lose It All” — Buzz Kull Shares Video for Atmospheric EBM Track “Human Force” Featuring Cold Cave

Death and War Lose It All

It Falls Into Human Force

The latest Buzz Kull single, Human Force, taken from the EP Deep Hate, is an atmospheric synth banger that moves with a hard, locked gait, all chrome nerves and club-floor fatalism. And that has always been one of Dwyer’s strengths. Since 2012, he has been building this severe style out of minimal synth, darkwave, and industrial dance music, but what keeps Buzz Kull from turning into mere scene exercise is the way he locates real psychic abrasion inside the mechanism. Plenty of artists can (and do) borrow the stern stomp of Front 242 or the bruised glamour of Black Celebration-era Depeche Mode. Dwyer makes those reference points feel lived in, not borrowed for the weekend and returned on Monday.

The video for Human Force, by Travis Shinn and Jeremy Danger, decides the best way to sell this sort of song is to trap the singer inside his own multiplication table. So there he is, boxed into a Brady Bunch grid, split, stacked, and repeated, as if identity itself has been fed through some cold little factory process and stamped out in handsome, severe succession — almost as if he’s a Major Arcana laid out in a digital spread. People now are forever being sorted, branded, displayed, and diced into presentable pieces. This video takes that condition and turns it into pop ritual, severe and seductive, like a nightclub sermon delivered by a malfunctioning saint.

It is a smart visual move because Dwyer has always made music for those moments when personhood starts to feel mass-produced, when desire gets regimented, and the body becomes both vehicle and victim. Human Force has that severe, synthetic strut Buzz Kull does so well, and Dwyer’s presence rides over it with the stern glamour of a man who has read the riot act to his own bloodstream. He does not mug for the camera. He stares it down like he’s filing a grievance against existence itself.

The lyrics to Human Force pit private consciousness against a world bent on burial, pressure, and collapse, with Dwyer returning again and again to the idea of an inner voice struggling to make life legible under strain. Where the words reach inward toward survival, visibility, and the frailty of human will inside vast systems of violence, the video turns outward, leaning into symmetry, duplication, and that nasty little tension between order and annhilation: faces recur, frames subdivide, blue light gives way to red, and Dwyer appears splintered across the screen like a series of selves pinned beneath the fluorescent thumb of modern life.

The cameo from Cold Cave‘s Wesley Eisold only deepens the sense of the video’s shared underground liturgy, one high priest nodding to another in a chapel built from drum machines and bad dreams. Yet the star here is structure itself: the compartments, the mirrored angles, the serial repetitions.

By the end, Dwyer has not escaped the grid. That is precisely why the clip works. It knows freedom is overrated as a visual cliché. Sometimes the more truthful image is a man caught in the boxes, still moving, still glaring, still making the trap look chic enough that you might willingly step inside.

17.04.2026 - Los Angeles Gothic Rock Ensemble Guilty Strangers Unveil German Expressionist Video for “Feast of Snakes”

Addiction, like glamour, thrives on repetition, on pose, on the fatal seduction of watching yourself become something more theatrical than free. Desire, meanwhile, is rarely straightforward; it advances with the grave poise of something already half-promised to ruin. That tension animates Feast of Snakes, the latest from Los Angeles group Guilty Strangers, a song and video that understands compulsion as ritualized surrender.

Musically, Feast of Snakes moves with the stately ache of a ballad. The guitar comes in strange, needling phrases, like a damaged transmission slicing through velvet, while the arrangement suggests the brittle intelligence of Malaria! and leaves ample room for a vocal performance of commanding force – in the vein of The Shroud meets Pat Benatar. Christine Lynise sings as both participant and observer, caught within the spell even as she seems to trace its inner workings in real time. Around her, the harmonies open with dangerous beauty, softening the song’s edges just enough to make its injuries feel strangely inviting.

That sensibility carries seamlessly into the video, directed by Jessica Moncrief, which stages the song’s ideas with a severe silver-nitrate elegance. Shot in black and white, and drawing from the warped visual language of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the clip transforms German Expressionism into a psychological chamber of slanted spaces, moral distortion, and stylized dread. Compulsion becomes décor; appetite takes on structure. Moncrief achieves a rare union of form and meaning, with cinematography that is eerie, sensuous, and exacting, finding menace in angles, textures, and fixed gazes. Expressionist sets, silent-film imagery, and the band’s deathrock and no wave instincts converge in a world where every surface appears faintly implicated.

The band describes the concept with unusual precision: “We wanted the video to feel like a place your mind goes when the craving gets louder than your own voice, something distorted, controlled, and impossible to escape,” they say. “Drawing from the warped world of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, we treated addiction not as chaos, but as a kind of ritual. Beautiful, repetitive, and quietly consuming. It’s not about losing control all at once, it’s about realizing you’ve been surrendering it piece by piece.” That notion gives the work its true force. What unfolds here is a pageant of gradual consent, the slow conversion of self into pattern, of thought into trance.

Watch the video for Feast of Snakes below:

Feast of Snakes is dark, certainly, but darkness is only part of its appeal. More crucial is the discipline of its seduction, the way both song and video render surrender as something aesthetic, ceremonial, and faintly alluring. Guilty Strangers and Moncrief have made something poised and poisonous, and all the more unsettling for how elegantly it moves.

17.04.2026 - Los Angeles Duo Black Hall Cast a Dark Spell Across the Desert in Video for “Hypocrite”

Love makes puppets out of proud people every day. Hypocrite, from Los Angeles darkwave duo Black Hall, rolls in like trouble with its collar up, all cool chrome nerves and bad intentions, and the new video for the song gives that trouble a highway, a heat haze, and a face you can’t quite trust. It’s a pop song that carries poison in its pocket. Tanner Dean and Errol Kern have built a machine for romantic ruin here, and in the new clip, they drive it straight into the open desert.

The song has a taut, Motorik shove, with Dean’s drums landing in clean, regular blows, as if some stern little factory in his chest has taken over the job of feeling. The synth line slices across the arrangement with a lean, mean glamour, while the bass keeps tugging everything forward like a hand at the small of your back. Dean sings with a bruised, bitter calm that makes the accusation sting harder. He sounds less like a man pleading his case than somebody standing in the ashes, kicking through what’s left and naming each burned thing one by one. Romance can rot with style.

The video keeps the frame split between stark black-and-white desert travel and color-soaked Lynchian visions of a mystery woman who seems to hover over the action like a curse, a fantasy, or maybe the boss of both. The van moves through the barren expanse like a hearse for old illusions, while those flashes of her world arrive lush, charged, and dangerous.

You start wondering whether she is a memory, a mirage, or a magician, whether the route was ever theirs to choose. The suggestion of black magick works because the song already deals in betrayal, projection, and the ugly little lies people tell while staring straight into somebody else’s face.

Watch the video for Hypocrite below:

Black Hall pulls off a stylish, sly piece of pop melodrama with gasoline in its blood. Hypocrite struts, smolders, and side-eyes its own damage, then leaves you out on that endless road, wondering who cast the spell first.

An ancient creature, black hair like the abyss

He came from a distant world, rising from the shadows

A beauty of mystery, an angel of death

Midnight Poetry flutter out of Athens, Greece, with their latest dose of darkness, Dracula’s Poison, a song that lands as if they have cracked open the lid of an old lacquered coffin and, to their delight, found that the corpse inside still knows how to treat a lady. Cleopatra Kaido and John Spanos are working in a lane lined with dark electro, post-punk perfume, industrial-pop chrome, and a little graveyard glamour, but this track gets its fangs by throwing itself headlong into lust as doom, and devotion as the sort of decision that would make any priest faint dead away.

This is music for people who think longing should come with candlewax, velvet, and maybe a polite nibble at the neck before breakfast.

The lyrics keep the bloody stakes high and the pulse higher. They lean into the old vampire spellbook with a grin, giving us the immortal seducer, the mortal fool, and that eternal bad idea where danger starts looking like destiny after midnight. She is not playing coy with her feelings, and thank heaven for that. This lady is ready for a hot night of fun.  Too many singers approach desire like they are filing tax forms in candlelight. Kaido goes straight for the throat. The theme of obsession has always had a little camp in its collar, a little grand theatre in its posture, and this song uses that knowingly rather than apologizing for it.

Then comes the gloriously blunt chorus, all command and craving: “Bite me! / Kiss me! / Love me! / Hate me!” It lands like a lipstick-smeared midnight melodrama, and it knows exactly how deliciously ridiculous that is. Any song willing to put “Feed me” at the end of this chain deserves at least a silk cape and a tax break.

Musically, the track has a sleek, nocturnal drive. Spanos gives it a firm electronic frame, sturdy enough to hold the gothic romance without letting it collapse into costume drama. There is movement here, a nightclub current under all the grave dirt and swooning. The beat pushes forward with real purpose while the melodic lines keep the mood lush, fevered, and faintly fatalistic. It feels built for black-clad dancing, for spinning beneath a red bulb while reconsidering every person you ever drunk-texted after 2 a.m.

The video seals the pact. Directed by John Kokoris, Dimitris Parzigkas, John Spanos, and Panagiotis Tsakiris, it gives the song a proper chamber of fog, darkened rooms, entwined lovers, bodice-ripper intensity, enough eternal-night atmosphere to make a bat feel vain about its wings.

Watch the video for Dracula’s Poison below:

Midnight Poetry have made a song that understands vampire romance for what it has always been: sex, death, devotion, and bad boundaries in good lighting. Dracula’s Poison bites deep, laughs softly, and leaves two neat marks where your cynicism used to be. In the end, it is great fun.

Dracula’s Poison is now available across all digital streaming platforms. Listen to Dracula’s Poison below and order the single here.

17.04.2026 - Organic and Synthetic Blur in Irish Post-Punk Duo Crá Croí’s Video for “Flesh Machines”

Crá Croí’s Flesh Machines lurches out of the speakers like a sermon delivered through a busted factory intercom, all pressure, poison, and bad electricity. It has the ugly gleam of modern life at its most seductive, where every promise comes plated in chrome, and every convenience asks for a small surrender of the soul. You can almost smell the overheated wires. You can almost see the skin going pale under fluorescent light.

This song from the Irish duo hits hard in this collision of body and mechanism as something filthy, seductive, and spiritually expensive. Flesh Machines observes people crawl willingly into the machine, trading touch for simulation, instinct for programming, spirit for speed, and it sounds properly sickened by the bargain. There is a queasy recognition that we have all already signed a contract without reading the fine print.

RG gives the arrangement a hard-edged sense of motion. The guitars come in sharp and sudden, like metal catching light in a dark room. The rhythm section keeps everything pinned to the floor with a grim, danceable insistence, pushing the track forward like a body being marched toward its own transformation. You can hear the family tree, sure: Joy Division’s dread, The Sisters of Mercy’s severe grandeur,  a little Type O’s romantic rot. There’s even a little Iron Maiden coming through.

Flesh Machines never feels like a crate-digging exercise assembled from old parts. It has heat in its lungs. It moves like it means it. CD’s voice carries genuine wear in it, a sense that the person singing has seen too much neon, too many ruined faces, too many bright new systems built to flatten our hopes and dreams. It gives the song a human wound at the center of all that mechanical menace.

The video sharpens that unease. Built from stock footage of biomechanics, bodies, and mechanised imagery, it gives the song a visual counterpart that feels fittingly dislocated, as though humanity is being slowly reprocessed into raw material for some new synthetic order. There is something blunt and effective about that approach. Rather than over-explaining the theme, the video lets image after image pile up into a vision of flesh and DNA meeting steel, spirit meeting system, and neither side coming away intact.

Watch Flesh Machines below:

Crá Croí (pronounced cra-cree) have made a song that sounds contaminated by the present tense, a song for people trying to keep their pulse steady while the world turns itself into product, process, and permanent display. Flesh Machines stares into that mess with bloodshot eyes and comes back with thunder.

17.04.2026 - THE PRETTY RECKLESS: neues Video zum kommenden Album „Dear God“

THE PRETTY RECKLESS haben mit „Love Me“ einen weiteren Track vom kommenden Album „Dear God“ veröffentlicht:

Zuvor teilte die Band Mitte März mit „For I Am Death“ den ersten Song ihres kommenden Studioalbums „Dear God“, das am 26. Juni 2026 erscheint . Nun gibt es auch ein Video zu „When I Wake up“:

„When I Wake Up“ handelt laut Sängerin Taylor Momsen davon, wie ein Leben voller Exzesse und emotionaler Achterbahnfahrten schnell vom Traum zum Albtraum werden kann. Momsen war es wichtig, dass das Video die realen Gefühle widerspiegelt, die den Song inspiriert haben. Deshalb wurde es ohne Color Grading und Filter gefilmt.
