Die Thrash Metal-Band CYCLONE hat einen Labeldeal bei M-Theory Audio unterschrieben. Im Zuge dessen werden die Belgier ihre Comeback-EP „Known unto God“ veröffentlichen. Die zwei Alben der Band rund um Gründungsmitglied und Sänger Guido Gevels liegen schon über 35 Jahre zurück.

Im Zuge dessen haben die US-Amerikaner rund um Drummer Mike Heller (MALIGNANCY, Ex-FEAR FACTORY) mit „Endbryo“ ein neues Album veröffentlicht. Die finnische Modern Industrial Metal-Band NORTHERN GENOCIDE stellt mit Joni Parkkinen ihren neuen Sänger vor. Einen ersten Höreindruck von ihm bekam man schon mit der Single „Roviolla“ – einer Cover-Version von GIMMEL. Nun hat die Band mit „New World“ eine weitere neue Single veröffentlicht, welche Teil eines dritten Albums sein wird, das 2026 erscheinen soll.

Als erste Vorab-Single hat die Band im September 2025 „Smile“ mitsamt Video-Clip veröffentlicht. Der Inhalt des Tracks zielt auf die anhaltende Misshandlung von Menschen mit Behinderung durch die Gesellschaft ab.

Während NIGHTFALL in den 2010er Jahren eine Pause einlegten, wurde bei Sänger Efthimis Karadimas eine Depression diagnostiziert. Jetzt trägt er eine schwarze Maske, die sein halbes Gesicht verdeckt, um zu symbolisieren, wie es ist, unter dem unsichtbaren Schleier einer psychischen Krankheit zu leben. „Wir können darüber reden. Wir können darüber singen“, sagt er, die Band ist außerdem in der Initiative Metal Music Against Depression (MMaD) aktiv, die vom Europäischen Bündnis gegen Depression in Deutschland unterstützt wird. „Wir können eine Gemeinschaft aufbauen, die auf Verständnis basiert“.

It begins as a shimmer on the horizon, a radiance without source, gathering itself into form the way a hymn gathers breath. Soon the air trembles with its ascent: the architecture of longing rising on invisible scaffolds, delicate as dust. Then comes the beautiful disorder: the tilt, the shudder, the slow unthreading of what once seemed ordained. Light turns against itself; harmony fractures into bright, bewildered fragments. In its wake remains only the echo of something too vast to name…an afterglow, a ruin, a quiet proof that even the most incandescent miracles are born to falter.

Minimal Schlager’s new single, Midnight Runner, arrives like a late-hour transmission—blurred by motion, streaked with feeling, and charged with the strange electricity of moments that vanish even as they ignite. Out now via The Department of Research of Underground Groove & Sound, the track functions as an epilogue to the duo’s After Midnight EP, extending its glow while tracing the rise and collapse of a romance lived at high speed. Its imagery: city lights in retreat, the breathless chase of desire, sets the frame for a piece built on hushed vocals, euphoric arpeggio patterns, and the wild promise of dancing through heartbreak.

Minimal Schlager walks a line between the neon pulse of Italo disco, the unfamiliar corners of new wave, and the forgotten textures of Berlin’s dive-bar after-hours. Here, that blend is sharpened.

Cisco Parisi describes its genesis plainly and vividly: “We were inspired by old school Italo disco but also wanted that chaotic post-punk edge. I wanted to create the feeling of running wild at 2 AM, of streetlights flashing by, so I started with a relentless synth arpeggio. Halfway through writing, we realised this track was becoming one of the most intense things we’ve done. It’s like you’re dancing through the drama of a breakup in real time.” That relentless undercurrent becomes the song’s spine.

Alicia Macanás brings the emotional frame into sharp relief: “Midnight Runner tells a story I think many people know. Eyes meet, bodies feel invincible. But once the day breaks, the illusion cracks and you’re left with the reality. It’s a celebration of that night-time magic, where hope and heartbreak coexist.” Her voice seems to trace those contours: soft, steady, edged with the weight of recognition.

H.Ä.L.T.’s “Hands & Crosses” arrives like a fever that found a camera and decided to tell its side of the story. The Vancouver outfit drags you straight into its underworld without explanation, and frankly, explanations would only get in the way. This thing moves with the blunt authority of a ritual enacted long before electricity, a ceremony lit by fear, devotion, and whatever burns hottest in the human gut.

The video opens with a body washed onto the shore: alive, barely, and carrying a kind of resolve that feels older than memory. SALMIAKKI’s cinematography gives the moment a raw immediacy: the sea clings, the air bites, the world seems ready to swallow or save depending on the tilt of a heartbeat. The figure rises, shivering but stubborn, and begins a wandering trek into the treeline. No heroic arc, no heroic posture—just someone who looks like they’ve survived something terrible, only to discover the land ahead holds its own brand of treachery.

Inside the forest, the camera treats the trees like a jury. Every branch leans with suspicion. Light slips in crooked, touching the wanderer just long enough to remind them they’re still being judged by forces unseen. There’s a cracked holiness to it all, the sort found in ruins and failed prayers. You sense the person is navigating more than terrain—memory, blame, devotion, and dread twist around them like old vines.

Cut to the band performing, and the whole thing tightens. H.Ä.L.T. play as if the song is their final breath: clipped drums, tense bass, vocals delivered like a confession spat through clenched teeth. It’s music shaped by pressure: emotional, historical, maybe even spiritual. These intercuts add weight, a reminder that whatever storm the wanderer carries is mirrored by the musicians conjuring it.

Religious symbols seep through the lyrics and visuals: rites twisted by violence, absolution denied, faith repurposed as weaponry. You feel the centuries of judgment pressing down on one impulsive decision after another. Towers rise, bones fall, healers burn. H.Ä.L.T. wrestle with that inheritance, their sound a reckoning between fury and devotion, their imagery a ledger of debts inherited from people who never learned mercy.

By the final minute, the wanderer pushes through brush and bramble with a strange kind of resolve in a world that hasn’t yet earned that endurance. The sea tried to erase them. The forest tried to confuse them. The ghosts of belief tried to turn them to ash. Still, they move.

And that’s the heart of “Hands & Crosses.” Not victory. Not clarity. Persistence: raw, human, and crawling toward whatever comes next.

1914 veröffentlichen am 14. November 2025 ihr viertes Album „Viribus Unitis“.Als dritten Song darais stellten die Ukrainer nun „1918 Pt 3: ADE (A Duty to Escape)“ vor. Bei dem Song ist Aaron Stainthorpe (ex-MY DYING BRIDE, HIGH PARASITE) als Gastsänger zu hören.

k.u.k. Galizisches IR Nr.15, Gefreiter, Ditmar Kumarberg sagt über „1918 Pt 3: ADE (A Duty to Escape)“:

„Die letzte Single und ihr Video, ‚1918 Pt 3: ADE (A Duty to Escape)‘, sind in Zusammenarbeit mit zwei Genies entstanden: dem Meister der Animation, Costin Chioreanu, und einer Koryphäe des liturgischen, seelenzerreißenden Gesangs, den man nie mit irgendwem anders verwechseln könnte – Aaron Stainthorpe.
Dies ist eine Geschichte über unerschütterlichen Lebenswillen und vom brennenden Verlangen nach Freiheit und Liebe. Als erste Single teilte die ukrainische Band ein Video zu „1916 (The Südtirol Offensive)“, im Oktober folgt die zweite Auskopplung „1914 (The Siege of Przemyśl)“ als Lyric-Video.

1914 ordnen den Track „1916 (The Südtirol Offensive)“ ins Weltgeschehen ein:

„Vom 15. Mai bis 10. Juni 1916 kam es an der italienischen Front zu einer ihrer heftigsten Schlachten: der Schlacht von Asiago, auch bekannt als Trentino-Offensive. Die österreichisch-ungarische Armee startete einen massiven Überraschungsangriff, in der Hoffnung, die italienischen Streitkräfte zu vernichten und in die venezianische Ebene vorzudringen. Fast 200 Bataillone und 2000 Geschütze, darunter 280 schwere Artilleriegeschütze, wurden im Trentino zusammengezogen. Die unvorbereiteten Italiener wurden zurückgedrängt – hielten aber mit heftigem Widerstand die Stellung. Die Gesamtzahl von 230.000 Opfern auf beiden Seiten unterstreicht die erschütternden menschlichen Kosten dieses Einsatzes. Eine brutale Erinnerung an den Bergkrieg, der diese Front prägte.“

„Viribus Unitis“ ist lateinisch und bedeutet „mit vereinten Kräften“. Das Album beschreiben 1914 so:

„Viribus Unitis steht für geteilte Stärke und die Idee, dass wahre Macht in der Einheit liegt. Allein kann man fallen – gemeinsam können wir siegen und unsere Ziele erreichen: den Feind besiegen, der Gefangenschaft entkommen, überleben und zur Familie zurückkehren. Wir kehren mit einer neuen Geschichte zurück. Eine Geschichte über das Leben und die militärische Tapferkeit eines Soldaten, der in seiner Heimatstadt Lwiw in den Ersten Weltkrieg geriet und alles durchlebte. Seite an Seite, mit gemeinsamen Anstrengungen von Ukrainern, Polen, Ungarn, Slowenen, Tschechen, Slowaken, Juden, Kroaten, Bosniaken, Deutschen – allen Völkern, die das riesige Österreichisch-Ungarische Reich bildeten. Imperien zählten keine Menschen – sie warfen sie in Fleischwölfe, wo Überleben nur durch Einheit möglich war. Indem man sich gegenseitig half. Indem man sich für seine Lieben und Kameraden opferte.Dies ist eine Geschichte über die Verblendung durch den Krieg und die Erhabenheit des Kaiserreiches, über tobende Schlachten, die Erkenntnis und Akzeptanz der Realität, das Erwachen, den Wandel der Werte, die Gefangenschaft und die Befreiung. Es ist eine Geschichte über den unzerbrechlichen Lebenswillen und die Hoffnung inmitten eines schrecklichen und blutigen Krieges. Es ist eine Geschichte über ein neues kleines Leben, das alle Regeln verändert und einen zwingt, das Vertraute aus einer anderen Perspektive zu betrachten. Es ist eine Geschichte über Liebe. Es ist eine Geschichte über Verlust und Tod. Viribus Unitis ist, wenn Schmerz, Tod, Verlust, Einsamkeit und Angst dich umgeben. Aber du bist immer noch ungebrochen!“

FLATWOUNDS stellen ihre Single „Vilify“ mit einem Video vor. „Der Song wurde mit einer Menge Attitüde im Hinterkopf geschrieben“, erklärt Sänger Colin O’Hare. „Er hat eine gewisse Schärfe, die wir in der heutigen Rockmusik oft vermissen.“

 

FLATWOUNDS sind Colin O’Hare (Gesang), Matthew Degnan (Gitarre), David Granger (Bass) und Wade Coonrad (Schlagzeug). Die Band stammt aus Albany, New York, und arbeitet derzeit an neuem Material, eine EP für 2026 ist  in Planung.

Als Lemmy Kilmister am 28. Dezember 2015 starb und Mikkey Dee einen Tag später das Ende der Band erklärte, war das für Millionen Fans ein Schock. Vier Jahrzehnte hatte Lemmy, der berühmteste und kompromissloseste Vertreter des Heavy Metal, mit seinem martialischen Rock ’n’ Roll Musikgeschichte geschrieben.  We are all choking on the fumes of a dying empire and calling it perfume. The rich sit fat and serene, gorging on our futures, while we’re left to claw through the ruins with borrowed dreams and a broken TV for company. Into that cracked panorama walks Canada’s Home Front, holding up a flare: their new single Between The Waves, a broadcast from the stretch of life where the crowds thin out and your own thoughts echo a little too loudly.

Between The Waves is a slow, steady exhale from a band that usually hits like a brick through a windshield. Here, the old-school 80s style synths cinematics bend like distant signals skipping across a cold horizon, while the rhythm section carries the weight of someone taking stock of their life at 2:17 AM, hands in pockets, staring at the floor tiles as if they’ll answer back. There’s no melodrama, no pleading, no cheap uplift…just the truth of standing between phases of your own existence, watching the tide pull something familiar out of your reach.

The band lays it bare: “Between The Waves is about that lonely journey we all take at some point in our lives,” the band reflects. “Where we wander away from the numbers to seek meaning. A solitary space between connecting with people. Call it growing up or growing apart, but this is the place we all visit from time to time to remember who we are. In all this confusion the space between the waves is where we discover things will never be the same again, yet we move forward in this new skin.”

That’s the gravity of the track: forward motion, even when everything inside you feels stuck in wet concrete. It’s a quiet push toward becoming someone you haven’t met yet. There’s a thread from Altered Images to Killing Joke to The Damned running through it, but Between The Waves is the hinge: the quiet room before the next door opens, the breath drawn before everything changes.

Only after that pulse settles does Watch It Die come into view. Home Front formed in 2020, but the lifetimes leading up to it are everywhere in the record’s DNA. Graeme MacKinnon and Clint Frazier have spent decades stitching together DIY scenes, shuttling between cramped venues and community spaces across the Canadian prairies, building networks out of frayed cables and stubborn hope.

Watch It Die harnesses every scrap of history MacKinnon and Frazier have earned the hard way. The duo pulls those textured Tangerine Dream atmospheres into their own orbit and fires them straight into rhythms built for anyone bracing themselves to take the first swing in the biggest fight of their life. The production, pieced together in home studios across Edmonton with trusted longtime collaborators, keeps the whole record alert, restless, and humming with lived-in resolve.

But the album doesn’t stand around pointing fingers at the world or drowning in the heaviness of the moment. It steps forward. It plants both feet in the dust and offers a strange, necessary spark of optimism; a sense that loneliness doesn’t have to hollow you out, that desperation can turn into direction, that time isn’t a thief so much as a teacher. Watch It Die holds the pain it names and hurls itself beyond it, dragging us along with the assurance of people who’ve scraped together enough experience to live past their own limits.

It reads like a road map of hope, one drawn by calloused hands that know the terrain. MacKinnon and Frazier explain: “Watch It Die comes at a very transformative time: geopolitically, musically, and in our personal lives. With friends and close family dying, and massive uncertainty everywhere, the album captures what it’s like to step into a ‘new world’ where the old reassurance of ‘everything is gonna work out fine’ feels like a joke. We watch rich people get richer while the rest of us fight to get by; we watch colonizers kill without consequence; we watch people choose ignorance even with information at their fingertips. Watch It Die speaks to our own humanity, a rebirth into a world that can never go back to what it was. We suffer for their dreams, but it’s also a call to recognize the power in our communities and energize them toward a better way of life. We have always been an anti-war, anti-genocide, pro-peace band. We stand against crimes against human rights; we stand with Palestine; we stand with Canadian Indigenous communities fighting for treaty rights, clean drinking water, and healing from generational trauma. If there’s one takeaway, it’s that our music should be a safe space where our community gathers, airs out its grief, and imagines a new future together.”

The album moves with that conviction: an embrace of what hurts, and a hand pulling you toward what might still be possible.
