Unsere ersten Proben waren im Herbst 2000, Konzerte gaben wir aber erst 2002. Von Anfang galt für uns eine Regel: ‚Wenn es nicht fertig ist, ist es nicht fertig.‘ Deshalb sind fast sechs Jahre seit unserem letzten Album Purgatory vergangen. Wir haben uns wieder Zeit gelassen und sind erst jetzt bereit, ein neues Kapitel aufzuschlagen und unser bisher ausgereiftestes und dynamischstes Album zu veröffentlichen – dabei bleiben wir dem Sound und dem Spirit treu, den wir mitgeprägt haben.“

BATTLE BEAST haben ihr neues Album veröffentlicht: „Steelbound“ erschien am 17. Oktober 2025. Zum Release gab es ein Videoclip zu „Twilight Cabaret„, jetzt legt die Gruppe mit „Watch The Sky Fall“ nach.

Außerdem gibt es die vierte Single, ein Video zum Track „Angel Of Midnight“:

Anfang August teilte die Band mit „Here We Are“ einen weiteren Song ihres siebten Studioalbums:

Im Juni präsentierten BATTLE BEAST einen Clip zum Titelsong „Steelbound„. Anfang Mai stellte die Band den neuen Song „Last Goodbye“ mit einem Musikvideo bei YouTube vor.

Eine weitere Headline-Tournee durch Europa haben BATTLE BEAST schon vor einiger Zeit angekündigt. Station machen werden die Finnen dabei auch in Hamburg, Berlin, Filderstadt, Wiesbaden, Hannover, Leipzig, Nürnberg, München, Saarbrücken und Oberhausen. In Österreich gibt es eine Show in Wien, in der Schweiz steht Pratteln auf dem Programm.

Im Vorprogramm mit dabei sind DOMINUM sowie MAJESTICA.

BATTLE BEAST wollen auf der Tour auch neue Songs präsentieren, wie Bassist Eero Sipilä erklärt:

„Wir brennen darauf, mit den neuen Songs auf Tour zu gehen und allen zu zeigen, woran wir gearbeitet haben. Alles an dieser Tour wird größer, besser und mehr sein, als wir es je zuvor getan haben. Am 21. November 2025 haben THE HALO EFFECT die EP „We Are Shadows“ rausgebracht, die Compilation mit Coverversionen erschien digital und als limitierte LP. Zum Release stellte die Melodic Death Metal-Band einen Visualizer-Clip zu „Shoreline“ vor. Im Originall stammt der Song von der Göteborger Indie-Pop-Band BRODER DANIEL. Drummer Daniel Svensson erklärt seine Wahl:

„Broder Daniel waren eine der Bands, die die Göteborger Indie-Pop-Szene in den späten 90ern ins Leben gerufen haben. Es gibt mehrere Parallelen zum ‚Göteborg Sound‘ – beide Szenen waren von einem starken DIY-Ethos und Kameradschaft geprägt und erregten gleichzeitig internationale Aufmerksamkeit.”

Niclas Engelin erinnert sich an die nachhaltige Wirkung des Songs auf ihn:

„Ich war wie vom Blitz getroffen, als ich in der 7. Klasse das Album von PHENOMENA von meinem Freund Emil Olsen ausleihen durfte. Der Song Dance With The Devil hat mich tief beeindruckt, und ich habe das gesamte Album auf Kassette aufgenommen – die ich dann rauf und runter gespielt habe, bis sie völlig abgenutzt war.“

 

Jesper Strömblad sagt dazu:

„Der aggressive Sound und die exzentrische Bühnenpräsenz von W.A.S.P. haben mir schon immer Spaß gemacht. Der Schock von Songs wie „I Fuck Like a Beast“ und lustigen Hymnen wie „I Wanna Be Somebody“ und „L.O.V.E. Machine“ ist kraftvoll und heftig. Extrem und dramatisch, kontrovers und lustig – WASP’s „I Wanna Be Somebody“ aus ihrem Debütalbum war mein erster Kontakt mit der Band.“

 

 

Gitarrist Peter Iwers erklärt, was ihm der Song bedeutet:

„KENT hat viele Menschen geprägt, sie haben Pop-Rock und Synthesizer auf eine Weise miteinander verbunden und mich damit tief berührt. Dieser Song ist nach wie vor einer meiner persönlichen Favoriten. Aus Respekt vor ihrer Kunst haben wir versucht, unsere eigene Version zu kreieren, ohne uns zu weit vom Geist des Originals zu entfernen.“

 

Auf Sänger Mikael Stanne hatte der Song großen Einfluss:

„Als Teenager brachten mich meine Faszination an den frühen frühen Danzig-Alben dazu, ganz neu über Rock und Metal zu denken.  Glenns Gesang und seine Texte hatten einen unglaublichen Einfluss auf mmich in meiner Anfangszeit als Sänger und Texter.“

Mit dem Video „Together Apart“ haben REZET noch einen Song ihres aktuellen Albums ausgekoppelt. Außerdem gibt es auch einen Clip „Prisoner Of Fate“ sowie ein Video zu „True As Lies“ – als Gast ist Steve „Lips“ Kudlow von ANVIL zu hören.

Die sechste Platte der Thrash Metal-Band trägt den Titel „Rezet“ und erschien am 30. August 2024 via Violent Creek Records / Soulfood.

Gefeiert wurde der Release am 30. August in der Hebebühne in Hamburg, der Eintritt war frei. Die Band versprach vorab ein „fettes Rahmenprogramm inkl. DJ, Drinks, jede Menge Metal und natürlich die Vorstellung unserer neuen Platte“.

Schon im Mai teilten REZET ein Video zu „Unholy Grail“, im Juni folgte ein Video zu „Duck & Cover“.

Anfang 2023 stieß Gitarrist Nikolay Atanasov (u.a. AGENT STEEL) zur Band, neu dabei ist auch Bassist Lorenz Kandolf (u.a. TRAITOR). Zur Stammbesetzung  gehören seit dem Debütalbum „Have Gun, Will Travel“ (2010) Sänger und Gitarrist Ricky Wagner sowie Schlagzeuger Bastian „attt“ Santen.

Produziert, gemixt und gemastert wurde das Album erneut von Eike Freese.

Mit guten Freunden kann man Pferde stehlen, sagt man. Aber warum nicht einfach direkt das Glück selbst? DRAIN jedenfalls scheinen den Masterplan zu haben, wie sie uns in „Stealing Happiness From Tomorrow“ mitteilen. Es ist ungewöhnlich, im Hardcore mit so viel Positivität bombardiert zu werden, doch es steckt an. Vor allem die zwischenmenschlichen Themen auf „…Is Your Friend“ wirken frisch und reflektiert. „There’s room for all of us to win“, erklärt Frontmann Sammy Ciaramitaro etwa in “Nothing But Love” in einer Lektion über Persönlichkeitswachstum. Neid bringt uns nicht weiter, Missgunst macht unser Leben auch nicht besser. Wir müssen bei uns selbst anfangen.

Keine leichte Aufgabe, doch glücklicherweise wissen wir ja einen augenscheinlichen Freund an unserer Seite, der sich bestens damit auskennt. Die Negativität in uns braucht ein Ventil, das DRAIN gleich mitliefern: Musikalisch halten die US-Amerikaner nämlich keineswegs zurück, mixen ihre rohe Hardcore-Attitüde im Opener mit knackigen Thrash-Riffs oder schwingen im knackigen „Living A Memory“ ungeniert die Harcore-Punk-Keule.

DRAIN bleiben mit beiden Beinen auf dem Boden und reißen uns trotzdem mit
Produziert ist das Ganze zudem kraftvoll, doch transparent genug, um dem knurrenden Bass seine Momente im Rampenlicht zu ermöglichen. „…Is Your Friend“ ist dabei weitgehend homogen konzipiert, lockert das Gesamtbild aber stellenweise durch eingestreute Leads („Scared Of Everything And Nothing“) oder sogar ein wenig Feelgood-Vibe auf. Das lockere „Who’s Having Fun?“ fällt mit seinem Klargesang und der sommerlichen Party-Attitüde etwas aus dem Rahmen, ist dabei jedoch nicht ohne Charme.

Dass DRAIN stets mit beiden Beinen auf dem Boden bleiben, spiegelt sich nicht nur im aufrüttelnden „Nights Like These“, sondern eben auch in der grundlegenden Einstellung des Trios. „When you die, leave a story to tell“, fasst Ciaramitaro im Schlusstrack “Until Next Time…” zusammen und bekräftigt damit die Botschaft des Openers. Man solle im Hier und Jetzt leben, denn wer weiß, ob der Morgen überhaupt noch Sonnenstrahlen für uns bereithält? Eine Philosophie, die im Zuge der Krebserkrankung von Bandgründer und Drummer Tim Flegal wohl auch aus der harten Realität geboren wurde, doch keineswegs daran zerbrechen will: Denn echte Freunde helfen sich auch durch schwerste Zeiten.

Die Doom Metal / Stoner Rock-Band HEXJAKT wird am 1. Dezember 2025 via Majestic Mountain Records & Burning Skull Records ihr neues Album „Blessing of the Damned“ veröffentlichen. Die Melodic Death Metal-Band CROWEN hat mit „Through the Dying Mist“ eine neue EP angekündigt. Es ist die dritte EP der Finnen rund um Bandgründer Esa Uusimaa (RAIN OF ACID), der diesmal auch von Tuomas Saukkonen (WOLFHEART, BEFORE THE DAWN, DAWN OF SOLACE) am Bass unterstützt wurde.

„Through the Dying Mist“ wurde von Ville Hautaluoma (u.a. für CELESTY tätig) gemastert und mit einem Cover-Artwork von Jussi Virtanen ausgestattet. Release-Termin ist der 20. Februar 2026 via Inverse Records. Vorab gibt es zum Opener „Ember Wraith“ einen Video-Clip. Der Song erzählt die Geschichte eines geisterhaften Wesens, das aus Asche geboren wurde und im Höllenfeuer lebt. Es ist ein Schatten der Vergangenheit, der immer wiederkehrt, um uns an Schmerz und Verlust zu erinnern.

Am 28. November 2025 wird Magnetic Eye Records mit „Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux“ ein neues Cover-Album zu Ehren von NINE INCH NAILS veröffentlichen. Nun gibt es nach dem Video zu „Suck“ – gecovert von der Sludge-Band THOU – mit der THE OCEAN-Interpretation zu „Even Deeper“ die dritte Vorab Single. „Harbinger of Light“ wurde von Pete Grossmann in den Bricktop Studios gemixt und gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Mark Erskine. Vorab gibt es den Titeltrack zu hören.

Die Avantgarde Black Metal-Band DAWN OF A DARK AGE hat mit dem Video-Clip zu „Il Rito Della Consacrazione“ eine erste Single ihres kommenden Albums „Ver Sacrum“ veröffentlicht.

Es ist das achte Album des von Vittorio Sabelli getragenen Projekts und folgt auf das 2023er-Album „Transumanza“ nach. Release-Termin ist der 12. Dezember 2025 via My Kingdom Music. Das Cover-Artwork stammt vom norwegischen Fotografen Kjetil Karlsen. Gesanglich wird das Projekt von Ignazio Cuga (KRE’U) unterstützt.

„Die Arbeit an dem neuen Album „Ver Sacrum“ war unglaublich. Zum ersten Mal schien alles extrem linear und schnell zu verlaufen, als wäre bereits alles geschrieben und müsste nur noch wie eine Skulptur aus dem vorhandenen Marmor herausgearbeitet werden. Das Thema greift erneut auf die Samniten zurück, insbesondere auf den sogenannten Heiligen Frühling (lateinisch „Ver Sacrum“), ein in vorrömischer Zeit verbreitetes soziales und religiöses Ritual“, sagt Vittorio Sabelli.

Die phänomenale Popsingle Struck ist eine Kollaboration der beiden Ausnahmekünstler Cristian Craver (CARV.R) und der The Voice Sängerin Casey Desmond. Heute wurde der Videoclip „Struck“ veröffentlicht, der nichts für zart besaitete Zeitgenossen ist. CARV.R wird im Laufe des kommenden Jahres ein Album veröffentlichen. Es bleibt spannend. On March 28, 2025, RobSoul will release their first single "Feuertanz" (Fire Dance).

The singer and composer Robert Eberl continues his musical journey after having to give up his band "Soulimage" in the fall of 2023 with a heavy heart. After a creative break of just three months, Rob was blessed by the muse again and began to write rock songs with German lyrics. The result is a musical mix of various rock genres with fat and driving guitars, provided by guitarist Alex Ahle. Alex has been with RobSoul since the beginning of 2025 and has further arranged Rob's compositions and, with his musicality, ensured the typical character of RobSoul.

The music is at home in German-language rock / metal and the single track "Feuertanz" with its catchy chorus immediately goes straight into one’s ears and quickly gets stuck in one’s head.

With “Feuertanz” the way has been paved for a new musical project by Robert Eberl and Alex Ahle. Live shows are planned as well in the near future.

Originally as a solo project by Luke J.B. Rafka brought to life in 2010 for the public, it has now grown into a grandiose 2-man project. While Luke puts world events into words without inhibition V-nerV has been providing the electronic background since 2016. electronic background in the form of his compositions.

The first single "Spiegel der Gesellschaft" will be released on February 24th with the original song, a club edit and remixes by Relate, Superikone, ANTIAGE, Das(X)Periment and U.M. Fiedel and the first partby the song "Ein Gespräch zwischen Sonne & Erde". Parallel to the single, a video will be released which was created by Maik E. Baptist.

Further single releases are planned for the rest of the year.

We are happy to announce the release of WINTER's new studio album "Looking Further Back" in cooperation with Wintergothic Records in April 2023.

This time, "Looking Further Back" presents newly mixed highlights from earlier times as well, but not exclusively. In fact, only six of the eleven titles are previously released material. Five songs are brand new and as of yet unreleased. (There are even six new tracks on the CD, the CD bonus track is already a foretaste of the new album “Heroes”, which will be released in autumn).

WINTER stays true to his course with "Looking Further Back". And that means that he basically doesn't have a rigorous line here either. Again, he moves within his self-defined framework, somewhere between AOR rock, hard rock, pop, wave and gothic. As always with a proper 80s touch and a feeling for catchy choruses that get stuck in the listener's ear.

The album will be released on CD (with a bonus track), as well as digitally and on strictly limited (300 copies) Black Dust splatter vinyl.

April has it all. Once again the Beckum-based HEMESATH are going on TOUR with the NDH actors from MAERZFELD and will be standing their ground in Cologne from April 8th on the mostly German stages. As in spring 2022, HEMESATH will heat up the audience with the songs from the second studio album "So Schön" and thus pass on the audience at the individual stations to the headliners of MAERZFELD at least at operating temperature.

HEMESATH warm up before the start of the TOUR and will be supported by their colleagues PROTZ on two concert evenings in March (10.03. and 11.03.).

"Viva La Insomnia featuring A-X-Amun" is the insane mix of drum ‘n’ bass beats, borderline trip hop and crazy vocals. A new way / wave of electro punk pop!

Merry Chicklit features the project A-X-Amun signed on the Danse Macabre label.

Khalid's and Eva's vocals together create excitement, power and drama! The song is exciting with surprising twists. Nevertheless, pop structures and pretty melodies can be found as well.

In 2017, PORN released their third album “The Ogre Inside - Act I”, the first act of a trilogy based on the enigmatic character Mr Strangler. In 2019, the band released the second act of its trilogy, “The Darkest Of Human Desires – Act II”. Now, on March 27th, 2020, PORN return with the final act: “No Monsters In God's Eyes – Act III”.

After collaborating with Tom Baker (responsible for the mastering of legendary albums like Marilyn Manson's “Antichrist Superstar”, NIN's “Downward Spiral”, Ministry's “Psalm 69” or Rob Zombie's “Hellbilly Deluxe”), PORN entrusted Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Studio in Los Angeles) with the mastering of this album. Lucey previously worked with Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood ...

PORN have released several singles from the new album in the past couple of months and the new single for the track "Low Winter Hope, Pt.2" will be published on feb, 21st along with a music video.

What is the difference between a charming smile and a broad grin? The finesse, the latent subtleness, the secrecy and the not quite obvious. In this sense, the title “SMILE” of the new THE WIDE album is a time travel into the subconscious, musically floating between dream pop and indie rock, soundwise perfectly balanced, almost like its very own genre in a musical cosmos divided into categories.

Originating from Mönchengladbach / Germany, the band goes beyond musical boundaries with their second album (following the debut album “Paramount”, 2018). The five musicians from Scotland, England, Switzerland and Germany see themselves as crossover artists who come together again and again like attracted by a magnet to create a homogenous, room-filling sound with every tune and every note of their songs.

On February, 26th Soulimage are gonna publish their new single „Imperium“ via Echozone to set the stage and fire up the mood for their upcoming album.

Mastermind Rob E. Soul’s quintet stays true to its previous musical development. In comparsion to the last album „Human Kind – Animal Mind“ the new song has an additional proper pinch of heavy metal influences thrown into the mix, nonetheless Soulimage never neglect the electronic, grooving foundation that has always formed their style.

The result is a kick-ass mixture of steamrolling guitars and melodic synthies with Rob’s voice being the familiar bond that keeps it all together. It will immediatly find its way into the listeners‘ ears and necks. the Spanish electro-project Cyborgdrive contributes, as so often, a successful remix version of the single song. The single’s flip side consists of a re-recording of „Generator“, building a bridge to the band’s eralier musical creations and bringing them up to speed.

The original track from the album „The Whole Universe“ is dominated by synthies, the re-recording is much more rocking while maintaining the groove that makes the song so great. While being a bit slower than „Imperium“, the song is still a beast of its own that has nothing to hide. It perfectly demonstrates the band’s ability to combine elements from different styles and make it their own. „Raining Blood“, the third song, is the finishing touch.

As a ballad comprised of nothing but piano and vocals it is musically as far from the other two songs as can be but thanks to Rob’s prominent voice it still is infused with the distinctive Soulimage vibe and a testament to the band’s range.
