Denn das deutsche Electro Industrial Projekt dreht die Zahl auf ihrem sechsten Album nur um wenige Grad und schon wird es zum Symbol für die Unendlichkeit. Die Zahl 8 spiegelt sich auch in der Struktur des Albums wider, das aus 8 Songs mit einer Spielzeit von jeweils 8 Minuten besteht. Dabei brechen die neuen Stücke mit der klassischen Formel aus Refrain und Strophe. Mit dem Song „Weeping Stone“ stellen ULVER einen ersten Song ihres kommenden Albums vor. Die neue Platte der Norweger trägt den Titel „Neverland“ und wird am 31. Dezember 2025 als Digitalrelease veröffentlicht, verschiedene CD und Vinyl-Versionen sind erst ab 27. Februar 2026 erhältlich.

Mit „Severance“ wird am 12. Dezember 2025 die neue EP der Metalcore-Band OPHELIA’S EYE erscheinen. Die Scheibe folgt auf die 2024er-EP „Catharsis“. Davor haben die Schweizer mit „Hopeless World“ (2022) auch ein Album veröffentlicht.

„“Severance“ wurde aufgenommen, um unseren ehrlichsten und ungefilterten Sound einzufangen. Beeinflusst von persönlichen Kämpfen und einer Welt im Umbruch, erzählt es Geschichten von Isolation, Verrat und zerbrechlicher Hoffnung. Die Atmospheric Post-Black Metal-Band SEDNA hat nach dem Lyric-Video zu „SednA“ mit „Torngarsuk“ nun auch einen Video-Clip ihres kommenden Albums „Sila Nuna“ veröffentlicht. Es ist das vierte Album der Italiener und taucht in die Mythologie der Inuit ein.

„Sila Nuna“ wurde von Bassist Mirko Abà aufgenommen und von Jack Shirley gemixt und gemastert. Release-Termin ist der 21. November 2025 via Dusktone. Vorab gibt es auch den Track „Amarok“ – mit Gizarrist Giò (PSYCHONAUT 4) als Gast – zu hören.

Für seine Angehörigen ebenso wie für seine Freunde, wozu natürlich auch insbesondere seine langjährigen Weggefährten der Band COVENANT zählen, war dies ein schwerer Schock. Obwohl die Musiker schon seit einiger Zeit wussten, dass ihr liebenswerter Freund und Kollege seinen schweren Kampf gegen den Krebs verlieren würde, traf sie die Erkenntnis, dass es tatsächlich passiert war, trotz aller "innerer Vorbereitung" dennoch mit voller Wucht. Exakt ein Jahr nach diesem schrecklichen Tag haben COVENANT die "Andreas EP" angekündigt, die erste Veröffentlichung der Schweden seit fast einem Jahrzehnt. Die EP ist sowohl als eine Hommage an den verlorenen Freund und Mitstreiter gedacht, soll aber auch einem wohltätigen Zweck dienen, da alle Einnahmen an die Witwe und die beiden gemeinsamen Kinder von Andreas Catjar-Danielsson gehen werden. Die "Andreas EP" enthält fünf experimentelle Tracks, von denen zwei Cover-Versionen sind: Der YAZOO Klassiker "Winter Kills" und der LEE HAZLEWOOD Song "A Rider on a White Horse". COVENANT wurden im Jahr 1988 in der Stadt Helsingborg in Schwedens südlichster Provinz Skåne gegründet. Die Gruppe junger Burschen ließ sich von der florierenden elektronischen Musikszene in Europa inspirieren. Diese wurde von Bands wie DEPECHE MODE, KRAFTWERK, THE HUMAN LEAGUE und FRONT 242 angeführt, um nur einige zu nennen. COVENANT wählten ihren Namen als Symbol für das besonders starke Band der Freundschaft, durch das sich die Musiker miteinander verbunden fühlten. Im Laufe ihrer steilen Karriere, die derzeit neun gefeierte Studioalben und zwei Live-Alben umfasst, haben sich COVENANT stets weiterentwickelt und nach neuen aufregenden Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten gesucht, um die Grenzen der elektronischen Musik zu verschieben. Doch aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage erweitern die deutschen Industrial Metal und EBM Pioniere die erhältlichen Formate noch um limitierte Vinyl-Editionen. Die EP enthält unter anderem Gastbeiträge und Remixe von prominenten Musikern renommierter Acts wie MINISTRY, mit denen DIE KRUPPS Anfang 2025 erfolgreich in den USA und Kanada unterwegs waren. Nach einer Dekade im kreativen Exil bringen KadavriK mit „Erde 666“ ein Album raus, das erneut einen musikalischen Wendepunkt markiert. Während Titelsong „Erde 666“ mit seinem verspielten Keyboards noch am ehesten an frühe Werke erinnert, mischen die 5 Überlänge-Tracks Doom-Sludge und Metal-Epik zur KadavriK-Rezeptur hinzu.

Nachdem wir Aethernaeum 2017 zu Grabe getragen hatten, keimte über die Jahre immer wieder der Wunsch auf, dieser Stilistik doch noch einmal Raum zu geben. Da innerhalb der aktuellen Eden Weint Im Grab-Besetzung großes Interesse bestand, künftig wieder beide Bands parallel laufen zu lassen, war auch das Line-up schnell geklärt (2017 hatten wir nach dem Ausstieg zweier Mitglieder keine komplette Besetzung mehr). Die ersten Demos klangen vielversprechend, und so wollen wir das Jahr 2026 nutzen, um ein neues Album zu vollenden und uns für Live-Shows ab Ende 2026 oder spätestens 2027 vorzubereiten. Tombstones In Their Eyes rise again with Alive and Well, a track that sounds like it clawed its way through the desert, dust in its teeth, sparks under its tongue. It follows Under Dark Skies, but this time there’s a different kind of charge: controlled chaos, bruised brightness, the kind of feeling you get when the power comes back on after you’ve given up hope.

This one carries weight because it carries grief. It’s dedicated to guitarist Paul Boutin, who left this world far too soon. As Paul Lovecraft, he kept releasing music even after doctors carved too close to the very cords that carried his voice. He met John Treanor a decade back at Kitten Robot Studios, two musicians orbiting the same cracked universe until eventually landing in the same band. And here he is again, all over the track, leaving fingerprints on every note.

The lineup is a small constellation: John Treanor on vocals and guitar, Paul Boutin on guitar, Nic Nifoussi on bass, Paul Roessler on keyboards, Stephen Striegel on drums and percussion, plus backing vocals from Courtney Davies, Clea Cullen, and Joel Wasko. They don’t play like a group—they sound like a collective memory trying to stay alive through sheer volume.

The song is powerful: voice circles the same bruised horizon, begging for a glint of something real—light, hope, faith, truth—anything to break the gloom long enough to reject it or embrace it. It’s a chant from a soul parked at the edge of dawn, stuck beneath unending heaviness.

The truth lands with a thud in Treanor’s own words: “When our beloved friend and guitar player lost his life on 10/18/25, we were shocked, confused and incredibly saddened. Paul was so kind, generous, intelligent and always optimistic. Being in TITE was a source of pride and joy for Paul. He was so easy to be around and was dedicated, driving many hours for practices and shows, always bringing his cheerfulness and optimism. We miss him greatly and are glad he is all over this record,” says John Treanor.

Treanor continues with a gut-punch of clarity: “We were initially going to scrap Alive and Well as a single after Paul’s passing (for obvious reasons), but because it was one of Paul’s favourites and a song on which he played guitar, we are going ahead with the release. The lyrics are about rising out of desperate circumstances with newfound strength – something Paul himself experienced, having dragged himself out of his own difficulties to ultimately rebuild a life full of joy and purpose. While not planned that way, Alive and Well ended up being a statement of intent – a story of a journey from despair to strength.”

You feel every inch of that intention: no sermon, no self-help sparkle, just a band trying to punch through the gloom and reach something worth holding.

The video comes from Italian multi-arts visionary Francesca Bonci, whose work with Federale, Philip Parfitt, Peter G. Holmström, and Rachel Goswell already put her in a world of her own. Her images don’t explain the music, they orbit it, distort it, nudge it into stranger shapes.

Alive and Well arrives about a year after Asylum Harbour, but the new record is built from upheaval: personal storms, old chapters closing, new ones cracking open. Paul Roessler recorded and engineered it, dragging his years with The Screamers, Nina Hagen, and 45 Grave into the frame. John Treanor co-produced, while multi-platinum engineer Alex DeYoung mastered the whole beast into a final blaze.

On December 5, Under Dark Skies lands via Little Cloud Records (US) and Shore Dive Records (UK/EU), vinyl included.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the annual Dark Ceremony Festival returns to Houston’s White Oak Music Hall for an evening of old-school gothic rock and post-punk, drawing together multiple generations of the scene for an evening of old-school gothic rock and post-punk.

This year’s initial lineup features Fields of the Nephilim, She Past Away, Pink Turns Blue, and TRAITRS — with more artists still to be announced. Each band arrives as an icon in their own right, spanning the genre’s early foundations to its modern vanguard.

Headlining the festival is the long-awaited return of the UK gothic rock outlaws Fields of the Nephilim. It has been many years since the band last performed in the United States, making their appearance a rare and momentous occasion. Their 1987 debut Dawnrazor introduced their unmistakable fusion of Western occultism, ritual atmosphere, and Carl McCoy’s desert-scorched baritone. A year later came The Nephilim, home to the immortal single “Moonchild”, solidifying the band’s mythic status. Then, in 1990, the band released Elizium — an expansive, otherworldly work that opened with the cathedral-sized radiance of “For Her Light”. To witness Fields of the Nephilim in 2026 is to see a group whose influence continues to echo across decades of the dark underground.



Balancing this historic return are two defining forces of the new darkwave generation. Turkey’s She Past Away bring their entrancing atmosphere — serrated guitars, cold electronics, and vocals delivered like a midnight invocation. Toronto duo TRAITRS add a modern, emotional edge, their bleak romanticism pulsing with urgency and dread. Together, they represent the wave of artists reshaping dark music for the present moment.

Counterbalancing this is the enduring presence of the old-school stalwarts who helped define post-punk’s emotional and sonic vocabulary. Germany’s Pink Turns Blue deliver the kind of bittersweet, knife-clean melodies that have influenced generations — tracks like “Walking on Both Sides” and “Your Master Is Calling” remain cornerstones of the genre. Alongside Fields of the Nephilim, they ground the festival in decades of uncompromising expression.

In this configuration, every act on the bill is an icon — whether carrying the torch from the early era or igniting the flame for a new one. Dark Ceremony 2026 presents a rare generational cross-section of the goth and post-punk continuum: the legends who built the foundation, and the modern forces propelling it into the future.

Anschließend gründete Gould zusammen mit Ian Taylor die Electro-Industrial-Band ELECTRO ASSASSIN. Als er den Sänger und Texter Agi Taralas aus einer Vielzahl von Bewerbungen für die Position des Frontmanns auswählte, erwies sich die Chemie zwischen den beiden Künstlern als derartig produktiv und stark, dass Gould und Taralas gemeinsam beschlossen, OMEN CODE zu einer dauerhaften Kollaboration zu machen, mit der sie auch Live-Auftritte absolvieren wollen. Taralas hatte bereits in einem gemeinsamen Projekt mit dem deutschen Elektronikmusiker Stefan Böhm erste Spuren in der Szene hinterlassen. Unter dem Namen OUR BANSHEE brachten die zwei im Jahr 2017 das Album "4200" heraus. OMEN CODE bieten mit ihrem grandiosen Debütalbum "Alpha State" die perfekten Klanglandschaften, sowohl um sich in düsteren Träumen mit futuristischen Bildern und cineastischen Visionen zwischen Blade Runner und Westworld zu verlieren als auch um sich zu düsterer Elektronik auf der Tanzfläche in eine bewegte Trance zu versetzen.-> >;
