Heute wurde der Videoclip „Struck“ veröffentlicht, der nichts für zart besaitete Zeitgenossen ist. CARV.R wird im Laufe des kommenden Jahres ein Album veröffentlichen. Es bleibt spannend. Ernesto steuerte dann den Mittelteil bei, der sich perfekt für ein ausgedehntes Solo anbot. Eine Komposition in der Komposition sozusagen. Die Rock-Band ROXTON um Sänger, Gitarrist und Songwriter Max Roxton hat ihr neues Album veröffentlicht: „My Name Is Rock“ folgt auf die Platte „The Voice Within“ (2021) und ist seit 21. November 2025 erhältlich. Dass zwischen den beiden Alben rund vier Jahre liegen, hat auch mit einigen persönlichen Rückschlägen zu tun, wie die Formation erklärt: 2023 wurden Teile des eigenen Tonstudios bei einem Hausbrand zerstört.

„My Name Is Rock“ fungiere nun also auch als Testament dafür, nicht aufzugeben. Wie sich das in musikalischer Hinsicht anhört, verraten einige Single-Auskopplungen: „21st Century Radio“ gibt es als u.a. als Stream bei YouTube. In dem Stück erzählt der Frontmann seinen eigenen musikalischen Werdegang von den 90ern bis heute – inklusive des Traums diese Leidenschaft professionell auszuüben.

Darüber hinaus ist „Revival“ u.a. als Video bei YouTube zu sehen. Mit dem Stück will die Gruppe eine ganz einfache Botschaft vermitteln: Es geht um menschlichen Zusammenhalt, den ROXTON im Spirit der 80er Jahre für sich entdecken.

Die Nummer folgt auf die Tracks „Moments“ sowie „Heavy“, welcher als Audiostream u.a. via soundcloud verfügbar ist.

Darüber hinaus kann man sich die Nummer „Bottoms Up“ als Lyric-Video bei YouTube ansehen. Auch den Song „Crisis Or Game“ gibt es auf einigen Streaming-Plattformen zu hören.

Zur vorherigen Single „All In Vain“ haben ROXTON zudem ein Musikvideo produziert.

„All In Vain“ wurde von Max Roxton selbst produziert und setzt sich inhaltlich kritisch mit einer „macht- und wachstumsorientierten globalen Politik“ auseinander. Das Stück ist der erste Vorbote des zweiten Studioalbums, für das allerdings noch kein Erscheinungstermin bekannt gegeben wurde.

Die Progressive Death Metal-Band ALKALOID hat mit „Bach Out of Bounds“ ein neues Live-Album angekündigt. Es ist nach drei Studio-Alben das erste Live-Album der deutschen Band, welches bei drei Sonderaufführungen in den Niederlanden aufgenommen wurde.

Auf dem Album sind neu interpretierte Arrangements von drei Kompositionen von Johann Sebastian Bach sowie Songs von den Alben „Numen“ und „The Malkuth Grimoire“, aber auch zwei neue Songs: so etwa der Vorab-Song „Haunter of the Void„.

Die Black Metal-Band ENTHRONED hat mit „Ashen Advocacy“ einen dritten Track ihres kommenden Albums „Ashspawn“ veröffentlicht. Es ist das zwölfte Album der Belgier und wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Occult Autor Gilles de Laval geschrieben und behandelt Themen wie arkaner Praxis, metaphysischer Kalkulation und esoterischer Kartografie.

„Ashspawn“ wurde von Stefano Santi (u.a. für LACUNA COIL tätig) im SPVN Studio in Mailand gemixt und von Phil Bashford in The Hive in London gemastert. Die Alternative Rock / Post-Punk-Band IZZY AND THE BLACK TREES hat mit „Kisses to Chaos“ ein neues Album angekündigt. Das neue Album der Polen wurde in Łódź aufgenommen und spiegele die Gegensätze der Stadt wider – Wandel und Verfall, Schönheit und Härte.

„Die Musik, die wir aufgenommen haben, spiegelt irgendwie die Atmosphäre der Stadt wider“, sagt Frontfrau Izzy. „Es ist ein Ort im Wandel – und diese Spannung dringt in jeden Song ein.“

Da haben sich mal zwei Ausnahmemusiker gefunden : Elektronik-Künstler THORSTEN QUAESCHNING, der Kopf nach und seit EDGAR FROESEs Ableben bei Tangerine Dream und STEVE ROTHERY, der bei der Prog Band MARILLION die Gitarrenseiten spielt. Für viele ist das sogar ein überraschendes Join Venture. Für mich eher weniger, da ROTHERY auf der TD Tour 2022 im Set als Gast auftauchte, aber genau genommen waren die gemeinsamen Planungen schon seit 2020 in Gange, weil sich die zwei Künstler da schon in Berlin trafen. Zuvor war man sich bereits 2014 beim „Cruise To The Edge“ Prog Rock Festival auf einem Kreuzfahrtschiff begegnet – beide Gruppen traten hier auch auf. Man kann also sagen, es kommt zusammen, was zusammen gehört und die zehn ( es werden aber nur 5 angezeigt, da es teils als Part 1 und Part 2 deklariert wurde) rein instrumentalen, meistens eher elegisch und im Uptempo gehaltenen Tracks wie auch z.b. Titelsong „Gentö“ präsentieren den Fans die Stärken beider Musiker. Bei THORSTEN sind es halt die auch von TD bekannten episch, emotionalen und voluminösen Klangwelten und von STEVE die grandiosen Gitarrenparts. Die Platte wurde in 5 Tagen im Privatstudio von STEVE im Südwesten Englands eingespielt, das ist sportlich, bedurfte aber wohl sicher einer professionellen Vorarbeit der 2 Protagonisten. Außerdem nahm man sich für die Aufnahmen noch ALEX REEVES von ELBOW an den Drums dazu – also gibt es hier keinen programmierten Rhythmus. Anmerken finde ich, das es bei 1 oder 2 melodiösen Tracks durchaus auch mit passenden Gesang gepaßt hätte, aber allein das wunderbare „Kaleidoscope“ besticht mit einer rockig, poppigen Note und die 2 Musiker sagten auch, das eben die Gitarre in den Songs den Gesang ersetzt. Kann man so auch sehen. Die überwiegend starken Momente auf dem durchweg konstant großartigen Niveau der Veröffentlchung ( alles andere hätte mich auch gewundert) bestehen für mich eher bei den ruhigeren Parts, in denen dann die Gitarrenarbeit von STEVE exzellent zur Geltung kommt und das schöne ist zudem, das die teils kosmischen „Cinema affinen“ Songs nicht zu sehr in die Länge gezogen wurden, wie man es angesichts eines TD Synth-Musikers hätte annehmen können. STEVE sagte noch zum Album : „Ich fand unsere Musik sehr filmisch, es paßte alles sehr gut bei diesem Thema des frühen Kinos ( STEVE und THORSTEN sind große Fans von Kinofilmen und Soundtracks ) und der bewegten Bilder. Es war für uns beide ein musikalisches Gespräch, bei der diese Art von Magie entwickelt wurde, die entsteht wenn 2 verschiedene Musikwelten aufeinderprallen“ ! Schöne Worte. Übriges war ein „BIOSKOP“ ein Ende des 19.Jahrunderts in Deutschland entwickelter Filmprojektor und „Gentö“ war die japanische Form des Vorläufers moderner Projektoren, so das dass Ganze ein vollumfängliches Bild ergibt. Das ist für mich wieder so eine Platte die man am Stück genießen sollte, am besten wohl auf Kopfhörer um die musikalischen Feinheiten der zwei Künstler heraus zu hören, zudem und das sind gute Nachrichten,
sollen noch mehr Platten in dem Stile folgen.

Das Format „Unpluggend“ des TV-Senders MTV war in den 90ern eine überaus erfolgreiche Reihe, bei der Weltstars in intimer Atmosphäre ohne elektrische Unterstützung bzw. konsequent akustisch ein Konzert gaben. Diese insgesamt 125 aufgezeichneten Auftritte waren damals noch richtige Fernseh-Ereignisse und deren Ausstrahlung über MTV regelrechte Straßenfeger. Natürlich wurden viele davon kommerziell in allen Formaten ausgewertet, wie zum Beispiel die von NIRVANA, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney oder Mariah Carey, welche sich dann auch sehr gut verkauften. Andere Mitschnitte, wie zum Beispiel von THE CURE, Chris Isaak, HOLE oder THE CRANBERRIES wurden unverständlicherweise bisher nie auf Ton- oder Bild-Träger veröffentlicht. Zumindest Fans der letzteren können inzwischen aufatmen, denn endlich wurde der vollständige Unplugged-Auftritt von THE CRANBERRIES bzw. alle 9 Songs zusammen am Stück verfügbar gemacht. Erstmals geschah dies im Rahmen der limitierten 3LP-Ausgabe zum 30. Jubiläum des „No Need To Argue“ in diesem Sommer, welche allerdings sofort ausverkauft war. Dafür erscheint jetzt „MTV Unpluggend“ auch als Einzel-Veröffentlichung im LP- und CD-Format, so das man sich endlich wieder von der markanten Stimme Dolores O’Riordan und deren zärtlich-akustischen Untermalung + Streich-Quartett verzaubern lassen kann. Selbst wenn die als schwierig geltende Frontfrau, welche ja leider schon seit 7 Jahren nicht mehr unter uns weilt, damals etwas mürrisch drauf war, hatte gerade diese melancholische Distanziertheit an diesem Abend 1995 im Howard Gilman Opera House in New York seinen besonderen Reiz. Die Titel-Set-Liste setzte sich dabei aus 5 Songs von dem seiner Zeit aktuellen Albums „No Need To Argue“, ihrem ersten Hit „Linger“ vom Debüt-Album, so wie zwei neuen Songs vom dem seiner Zeit noch nicht erschienenen Werk „To The Faithful Departed“ zusammen. Eine absolute Rarität und auch ein Grund für den besonderen Stellenwert dieser Unpluggend-Session bei den CRANBERRIES-Fans war dann noch der Song „Yesterday’s Gone“, welcher eigens für diesen Auftritt komponiert und dort nur einmalig aufgeführt wurde. Ansonsten bot sich ein Großteil des Repertoire der Iren stilistisch gesehen absolut für dieses akustisch reduzierte Format an, jedoch überrascht es schon, wie gut auch das rumpelig-kreischende „Zombie“ in dieser Form funktioniert! 30 Jahre später hat man nun wieder die Möglichkeit, in eine Sternstunde der MTV Unpluggend-Reihe einzutauchen und sich von der natürlichen Charme dieser außergewöhnlichen Band verzaubern zu lassen, welche heute noch so schmerzlich fehlt! Abgesehen davon lässt diese späte Veröffentlichung der Session hoffen, das vielleicht auch noch der Auftritt von THE CURE in irgendeiner Form zugänglich gemacht wird. (Marco Fiebag)

Eine dieser DNA-Bands – hier geht bei jedem Ton alles in mir in Resonanz. Die Seele vibriert, 1000 Echoes – die nicht in Worte zu kleiden sind, die Schmerz, Erhabenheit, einfach Gefühle hoch schießen – welche die Russen mit ihrer transzendenten Musik heraufbeschwören. KAUAN ist mehr als Klang, eine Form der Sensibilität, eine berstende Wall of Sound, ein stiller Fleck im Nirgendo, eine verdammte Insel im wilden Ozean, den wir Leben nennen. Kaum eine Band zwingt mich so sehr in die Knie, puscht mich so sehr auf, macht nicht wehmütig und verzweifelt, glücklich und hoffnungsvoll zugleich. Langsam, episch und emotional bis zum dorthinaus zieht Anton Belov und Mannen seine Furchen durch die Synapsen, greift dahin wo es weh tut, spiegelt die innere Unruhe, die Sehnsucht nach Stille, Frieden und Tiefe. Diese Tiefe, die längst ein Qualitätsmerkmal ohne gleichen ist bei KAUAN und die jedwede Genre-Zuordnung eigentlich müßig macht. Ja man ist im Fundament Doom, aber dieser hier spielt längst in anderen Hemisphären, integriert Ambient, Folk und Postrock, finnisch pastoralen Melancholie-Gesang und wird zu einem Film, einem Bild, welches es nicht verdient in irgendeine Sound-Schublade gepresst zu werden. Auch mit „Wayhome“ bekommst Du erneut ein Meisterwerk, voll Schönheit, Chören, Weite, verzehrender Sehnsucht, dass es Schmerzen verursacht und man vor Ergriffenheit Tränen vergießen kann. Es macht den Herbst noch schöner und bewusster erlebbar, jeden klaren Wintertag noch durchdringender, jeden Tag am Meer noch einsamer und verlorener und ist trotzdem so sehr umarmend und Zuhause, weil Hoffnung, Wärme und umarmende Melodien ein Einkehren erlauben. Ich liebe diese Band, Emotionen und Transzendenz in jeder Note bringen was in mir zum klingen. Also lass Dich finden von KAUAN, kapsele Dich damit ab, friere den Moment ein und tauche weg zu den Klängen. Diese Musik, jeder Ton ist unbeschreiblich schön und das komplette Kontrastprogramm zum draußen.

Die jungen Wilden aus Italien haben mich vor nicht langer Zeit beim WGT bereits schwer überzeugt und spätestens ab diesem Zeitpunkt kam ich am Vorgänger „Love Will Come Again“ nicht mehr vorbei. Ein feiner Sound zwischen Post Punk, Wave und Alternative hinterließ gehörigen Nachhall und den erzeugt die neue Rille „Pleasure Loss Desire“ zum Glück auf ähnliche Weise erneut wieder. Produktionstechnisch wurden die Mannen unterstützt von Maurizio Baggio (The Soft Moon, Boy Harsher), was dem dynamischen Album-Sound sehr zu Gute kommt. Mal elektronisch, dann wavig treibend mit dichten voluminösen Bass-Sound in ‚Surface‘ und ‚The Half Light‘ (Henric De La Cour lässt grüßen), mit einigen rockigen Früh-90´s Depeche Mode-Einflüssen wie in ‚PLD‘, dann wieder mit gehörig Verzweiflung, Wut und Emotion in dynamisch minimalen Post Punk-Tracks wie z.B ‚Silver Waves‘ oder dem sehr intensiven ‚No Sound Remains‘ schafft man in knapp 40 Minuten wieder für ordentlich Abwechslung und Aha-Erlebnisse zu sorgen. ‚Dyve‘ treibt mit stoischen Bass und dunklen Synths – Gitarren und Vocals perlen und wimmern mit ordentlich Schub und Power im Refrain durch eine niemals endende Nacht.  Ein etwas Mehr an Aggression, gerade im Power-Refrain steht den Italienern hervorragend. Hier sind die knurrig, minimal schroff strukturierten Abläufe mit Ecken und Kanten nicht weit weg von den Belgiern Whispering Sons – ein mehr als passender, wohlmeinender Vergleich meinerseits. Ein Hauch alternativer Einfluss, leise-laut Dynamiken und etwas Indie-Dream Pop Melancholie in ‚Another Life‘ – die Band bekommt einen immer genau am richtigen Punkt zu fassen. Emotionen wie Schmerz, Sehnsucht, Nostalgie und verzweifelte Euphorie, Nacht und Einsamkeit – all dies findet sich im urbanen, latent theatralischen Post Punk/Wave der Italiener verdichtet zusammen und Talk To Her gehören einfach zur neuen Generation aufstrebender junger Post Punk Helden, so viel ist klar. Eindringliche Melodien, dynamisch berstende, alternative Power und ein perfekt auf die Band abgestimmtes Sound-Gerüst reichen für eine starke neue Scheibe, die Freunde des manisch, verzweifelten, jederzeit melodischen Post Punk garantiert aufsaugen werden.

On March 28, 2025, RobSoul will release their first single "Feuertanz" (Fire Dance).

The singer and composer Robert Eberl continues his musical journey after having to give up his band "Soulimage" in the fall of 2023 with a heavy heart. After a creative break of just three months, Rob was blessed by the muse again and began to write rock songs with German lyrics. The result is a musical mix of various rock genres with fat and driving guitars, provided by guitarist Alex Ahle. Alex has been with RobSoul since the beginning of 2025 and has further arranged Rob's compositions and, with his musicality, ensured the typical character of RobSoul.

The music is at home in German-language rock / metal and the single track "Feuertanz" with its catchy chorus immediately goes straight into one’s ears and quickly gets stuck in one’s head.

With “Feuertanz” the way has been paved for a new musical project by Robert Eberl and Alex Ahle. Live shows are planned as well in the near future.

Linguistic wit + word acrobatics, paired with electronic club sounds - sometimes hard, sometimes soft!

Originally as a solo project by Luke J.B. Rafka brought to life in 2010 for the public, it has now grown into a grandiose 2-man project. While Luke puts world events into words without inhibition V-nerV has been providing the electronic background since 2016. electronic background in the form of his compositions.

The first single "Spiegel der Gesellschaft" will be released on February 24th with the original song, a club edit and remixes by Relate, Superikone, ANTIAGE, Das(X)Periment and U.M. Fiedel and the first partby the song "Ein Gespräch zwischen Sonne & Erde". Parallel to the single, a video will be released which was created by Maik E. Baptist.

Further single releases are planned for the rest of the year.

Her last single "Feuer speit das Ungeheuer" was very successful with number 5 (best position in 8 weeks) in the German Alternative Charts (DAC).

"Viva La Insomnia featuring A-X-Amun" is the insane mix of drum ‘n’ bass beats, borderline trip hop and crazy vocals. A new way / wave of electro punk pop!

Merry Chicklit features the project A-X-Amun signed on the Danse Macabre label.

Khalid's and Eva's vocals together create excitement, power and drama! The song is exciting with surprising twists. Nevertheless, pop structures and pretty melodies can be found as well.

In 2017, PORN released their third album “The Ogre Inside - Act I”, the first act of a trilogy based on the enigmatic character Mr Strangler. In 2019, the band released the second act of its trilogy, “The Darkest Of Human Desires – Act II”. Now, on March 27th, 2020, PORN return with the final act: “No Monsters In God's Eyes – Act III”.

After collaborating with Tom Baker (responsible for the mastering of legendary albums like Marilyn Manson's “Antichrist Superstar”, NIN's “Downward Spiral”, Ministry's “Psalm 69” or Rob Zombie's “Hellbilly Deluxe”), PORN entrusted Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Studio in Los Angeles) with the mastering of this album. Lucey previously worked with Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood ...

PORN have released several singles from the new album in the past couple of months and the new single for the track "Low Winter Hope, Pt.2" will be published on feb, 21st along with a music video.

What is the difference between a charming smile and a broad grin? The finesse, the latent subtleness, the secrecy and the not quite obvious. In this sense, the title “SMILE” of the new THE WIDE album is a time travel into the subconscious, musically floating between dream pop and indie rock, soundwise perfectly balanced, almost like its very own genre in a musical cosmos divided into categories.

Originating from Mönchengladbach / Germany, the band goes beyond musical boundaries with their second album (following the debut album “Paramount”, 2018). The five musicians from Scotland, England, Switzerland and Germany see themselves as crossover artists who come together again and again like attracted by a magnet to create a homogenous, room-filling sound with every tune and every note of their songs.

Following the release of the first single “Heile Segen” (True Blessing) for the tour with MAERZFELD in May of this year, HEMESATH release their new album “So Schön” (So Beautiful) on October 7th.

Musically the new songs tie in with the previous album “Für Euch” (For You), but also go a considerable step further in every aspect. By now, the band has long shed the limitations of the so-called “Neue Deutsche Härte” (New German Hardness) and demonstrates that hard German rock music can do more than just beat and thrash.

All in all, “So Schön“ (So Beautiful) proves that rock music with German lyrics can be exciting, energetic as well as emotional and, in the end, offers lots of fun.

On February, 26th Soulimage are gonna publish their new single „Imperium“ via Echozone to set the stage and fire up the mood for their upcoming album.

Mastermind Rob E. Soul’s quintet stays true to its previous musical development. In comparsion to the last album „Human Kind – Animal Mind“ the new song has an additional proper pinch of heavy metal influences thrown into the mix, nonetheless Soulimage never neglect the electronic, grooving foundation that has always formed their style.

The result is a kick-ass mixture of steamrolling guitars and melodic synthies with Rob’s voice being the familiar bond that keeps it all together. It will immediatly find its way into the listeners‘ ears and necks. the Spanish electro-project Cyborgdrive contributes, as so often, a successful remix version of the single song. The single’s flip side consists of a re-recording of „Generator“, building a bridge to the band’s eralier musical creations and bringing them up to speed.

The original track from the album „The Whole Universe“ is dominated by synthies, the re-recording is much more rocking while maintaining the groove that makes the song so great. While being a bit slower than „Imperium“, the song is still a beast of its own that has nothing to hide. It perfectly demonstrates the band’s ability to combine elements from different styles and make it their own. „Raining Blood“, the third song, is the finishing touch.

As a ballad comprised of nothing but piano and vocals it is musically as far from the other two songs as can be but thanks to Rob’s prominent voice it still is infused with the distinctive Soulimage vibe and a testament to the band’s range.
