26.11.2025 - NYC Post-Punk Polymath Charlie Nieland Storms Back with “Stories From The Borderlines” LP

New York post-punk stalwart Charlie Nieland storms back into view with Stories From The Borderlines, an album that feels like someone wired a confessional booth to a particle accelerator and hit the big red button. The veteran producer and post-punk polymath tears into his own history like a man mapping fault lines beneath his feet. Years with Her Vanished Grace, the knife-edge experiments of Lusterlit, and studio time with names the size of Blondie and Rufus Wainwright have sharpened his instincts.

The record begins as a flare on the horizon and expands into something closer to a living atlas. Nieland calls it “a kaleidoscope of styles,” and for once that tired phrase lifts off the page. “They are luminous secret rooms that reflect one human’s heart in a world at the precipice. Staying creative is resistance…Culture is not imaginary…These songs tell stories of growing up, of how we got severed, and how we connect.” He’s handing you a set of keys to rooms he spent years building, each with its own weather system, each humming with the tension of the past few years’ love, uncertainty, and family drama. “These songs are a geography of intention and intuition…Let’s find the switch.”

What he’s made here feels like a carved-out planet. The inspirations: David Bowie, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Cocteau Twins, Thomas Dolby, Love & Rockets, The Cure – orbit the album. He played nearly everything himself, with drummer Billy Loose and guitarist Dan McAssey slipping into the frame like old allies who know the terrain well enough to add sparks without calling attention to their hands. “It’s a joy to be collaborating with them,” he says, and you can hear that joy pulse in the seams.

The album opener Cease To Turn studies duality with the patience of a scientist staring down a microscope. It moves from the personal to the planetary in a single breath, suggesting that identity forms in the gaps between collisions—worlds brushing past one another, memories dissolving before they’re named. Brutalist Monuments drags humanity to the mirror and forces us to look at what stares back: a species built on rubble, convinced its jagged edges mean progress. It’s a song about the architecture of error, showing how easily evolution trips into hubris and how quick we are to crown our own confusion as triumph.

Win (feat. spiritchild) turns the spotlight toward crisis as performance. Manufactured emergencies, outrage as oxygen, language sharpened into blades. The track cuts through the spectacle and exposes how fear becomes a mask welded to the face, how shame is cultivated like a crop, and how the only escape is recognizing the bone-deep interdependence we keep running from.

Drown feels like a dream where the tide doesn’t know the difference between myth and memory. Loss mutates into legend; catastrophe becomes choreography. Waves crash through the song like messages written for the dead, and the unanswered questions thrum beneath every line.

Hypnotized stalks the ruins of national mythology. Dragons, protectors, rituals…all crumbling under the weight of war, displacement, and political sleight of hand. It’s the sound of people realizing the creatures guarding their treasure never cared, never understood, and never could save them. Next, Back To Life peers into the wreckage of two people trying to reanimate a corpse: love warped by insecurity, regret, and the slow poison of self-doubt. The connection spirals between surrender and desperation, a fairy tale rewritten with cracked mirrors and spent prayers.

Redshift lifts everything skyward. A supernova of self-reassessment, the track uses astrophysics as therapy. Redshift (the stretching of light as it speeds away) becomes the metaphor for loosening the grip of old pain. Nieland bends time with patient guitars and a voice that rises like a lantern in the cold. Inner walls crumble; clarity cuts through like cosmic radiation.

Sentinel paints a watcher at the edge of everything—someone drifting between longing and distance, capturing moments as if they were vanishing fireflies. Time feels delicate here, fragile enough to slip through cupped hands. Control becomes a question, not an answer.

Then there’s Shame, paired with a wild timebending video by Hypnodoll with cinematography by Alice Teeple. This one thrums with the dangerous charge of obsession turned inward and outward at once. It digs into the lust and revulsion weaponized against the queer community, showing how fascination becomes its own battlefield. The cast: Billy Loose, Dan McAssey, Corey Tut, Larry Heinemann, Lianne Smith, Felice Rosser, Finley Hunt, Stephanie Marie, Susan Hwang, Katia Floreska, Jeb Colwell – turns the screen into a pressure chamber.

Today, featuring keyboardist Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs), is quieter in volume but heavier in emotional weight. It highlights the fragile rituals of love, the domestic miracles we overlook until they threaten to vanish. Love becomes a constellation you can lose track of in the dark, and the song treats the present moment like a relic worth dying beside. Finally, You Fell Down threads a story of escape, transfo∆rmation, and heartbreak—two kids running from who they were, only to collide with who they became. Childhood fantasies crumble as the world presses in. One person falls; the other freezes. The track leaves you standing in the wreckage of something once unstoppable.

Stories From The Borderlines is many things: a spark, a confession, a scrawl on the wall of the universe…but above all it’s a reminder that imagination is a survival instinct. Nieland leaps and drags us with him, shouting back through the turbulence: Let’s find the switch.

26.11.2025 - FKA Twigs, Chloë Sevigny, and More Star in Boy Harsher Directed Horror-Thriller “The Lonely Woman”

Boy Harsher’s pivot toward cinema has been gathering momentum for years. Long before The Runner, the duo were already treating their music videos as short films: the David Lynch–inspired motel-room fever dream for “Face the Fire,” the obsessive noir-voyeur intensity of “Come Closer,” and the doomed vampire story of “Fate,” which plays like a nocturnal film carved down to a few bloody minutes. Their visuals have increasingly leaned into mood over explanation, a tendency sharpened through recurring collaborations with production team Muted Widows, whose work with the band pushes close-ups, negative space, and uneasy stillness into something that feels like scenes lifted from a larger, unseen feature.

By the time The Runner arrived in 2022—an unruly fusion of genre impulses, haunted pop ritual, and blood-tinted surrealism—it was clear that Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller weren’t just scoring imaginary films; they were already halfway to making them. The cast underscored that shift: Kris Esfandiari of King Woman, Mariana Saldaña of BOAN, Cooper B. Handy, and unmasked industrial luminary Kontravoid all drifted through its uncanny frame, forming a constellation of underground figures orbiting Boy Harsher’s expanding visual world. The project paved the way for Matthews’ later screenplay work on werewolf film My Animal, and for Muller’s growing presence in both band and score work—including Safe Mind, his collaborative band with Handy, and an increasingly wide slate of tension-laden compositions.

Now that evolution has arrived in full. The pair have wrapped production on their first feature-length film, The Lonely Woman, a horror-thriller starring Chloë Sevigny, FKA twigs, Sturgill Simpson, and Bonnie “Prince” Billy. The film centers on a grieving woman haunted by the death of her first love inside a mountain tunnel, drawn toward forces described as “seductive and terrifying.” The casting feels pointed, especially with Sevigny, whose long-standing devotion to experimental cinema, queer nightlife, and fringe music has made her a fixture in the very worlds Boy Harsher came up through.

In announcing the project, the band finally acknowledged their sudden disappearance this fall. They explained that if anyone had been wondering where they went, the answer was simple: they were shooting a movie. Production wrapped during an overnight shoot that involved a kill scene, a haze of exhaustion, and what they described as the “drama” of making a first feature. Only then, they said, could they share the secret: the film is called The Lonely Woman.

They described the film as “a horror film, an erotic thriller, a creature feature, a weird one, a fun one, a sweet one,” and credited its completion to “our tremendous cast and crew.” They also thanked Chloë Sevigny directly “for giving everything to The Lonely Woman.”

More details—release information, stills, teasers, and, of course, music—have not been shared yet but are expected soon.

26.11.2025 - Tuxedomoon’s “Desire” Receives 45th Anniversary Reissue — Co-Founder Steven Brown Releases New Single “Pyramides”

Forty-five years on, Tuxedomoon’s Desire still feels like a transmission from a parallel era; an album that bent the rules of form and mood with an ease that startled even its contemporaries. Today, Crammed Discs marks the occasion with a newly remastered anniversary edition of the band’s pivotal 1981 creation, expanding the original with unearthed recordings, rare cuts, live takes, personal recollections, and a trove of photographs pulled straight from the group’s archives.

Released across vinyl, CD, and digital formats, the expanded edition was remastered from the original tapes and features three previously unheard tracks, two seldom-seen additions, and several vivid live versions. Steven Brown, Gareth Jones, and John Foxx contribute fresh liner notes, joined by writings from Blaine Reininger and Peter Principle (2015), anchoring the release in the group’s lived history as much as its restless inventiveness.

Desire caught Tuxedomoon mid-migration, written in the last gasps of their San Francisco years, recorded in the UK, and issued on Ralph Records before its later home on CramBoy. The album’s mood remains unmistakable: cabaret noir colliding with experimental electronics, jazz phrasing brushing past minimal forms, and a strange romantic charge humming at the center of it all. Decades later, its influence still cuts deep across fields that rarely touch, from rock’s outer fringes to avant-electronic exploration.

The 45th Anniversary Edition of Desire is out now on Double LP  and CD. Order Here

DESIRE – 45th Anniversary Edition by Tuxedomoon

Across sixteen albums, and with a new one underway, Tuxedomoon’s catalogue stands apart through instinct alone. No stylistic allegiance, no fixed map, just a wild devotion to lively ideas.

That same creative current is found with the solo work of the group’s co-founder, Steven Brown, who steps forward again with a new album, In This Very World, arriving February 20, 2026, via Crammed Discs.

The album’s first single, Pyramides, leads the way: an experimental piece shaped by Brown’s current life in Oaxaca, recorded with the city’s pulse as its quiet backdrop. Stripped down yet vivid, the track folds in fragments from a documentary on Monte Albán, turning them into a drifting, otherworldly tableau; an invitation into the landscape that now surrounds him.

26.11.2025 - Like Roses on the Altar — Ohio Darkwave Duo Annul Noir Video Make Their Debut in Video for “Somber Sonnets To Die For”

There’s a strange, almost ceremonial hush surrounding Annul Noir, as if the duo stepped out of a forgotten wing of Northeast Ohio and carried with them a private weather front of tension and ache. Formed in the early months of 2024 between tour schedules and restless nights, JV Green and Dominic Passalacqua assemble their work with the air of two conspirators deciphering forbidden verses. Somber Sonnets to Die For, their debut single, materializes as heavy-lidded, ice-touched, and steeped in the sense that someone is whispering words of taboo. Its titular song feels like a gothic hymn.

Somber Sonnets To Die For sways with slow conviction, measuring time in sighs and soft thuds. Synths hum behind the bass; guitars scrape the edges, pulling threads of light into narrow beams. Even the silence between phrases feels weighted, as though the air itself is part of the composition.

Green, whose guitar lines once scorched across stages from Brutal Assault to Party San, moves differently here. His touch is leaner, stripped of bombast, more like an architect outlining the corridors of a ruin. There’s a cool patience in the patterns he shapes: beats that seem engineered for late hours when the mind wanders sideways, keys that fall like muted bells, and riffs that advance in quiet procession. His past in Uada and Cloak haunts the corners, but what he does with Annul Noir feels like a coded message delivered through frostbitten breath.

Passalacqua, meanwhile, steps toward the microphone as if addressing an ensemble of waltzing ghosts. The voice: firm, solemn, carrying the grain of someone who has stared long into winter, threads through these tracks. Years inside dark folk and black metal projects have honed his tone into something ceremonial. He occupies the track with an uncanny stillness.

The accompanying video for Somber Sonnets To Die For reinforces this aura: a performance staged in a hazy room – perhaps incense? Where an animal skull watches as an ancient witness, and a bouquet of roses decays in ceremonial grace.

26.11.2025 - Glisten Trick Makes a Dreamy Debut Awash in Crystalline Psychedelia With Video for “Deep Cut”

Deep cut dreamer down on your knees
Same old truth to learn
I still taste deception wet on her lips
Drinking in the shame

Glisten Trick is a band with a sound that murmurs like it’s been sitting in a dim basement too long, tuning their nerves to the hum of fluorescent doom until the walls start breathing back, and vivid dreams begin their euphoric deluge awash in indescribable textures. Their forthcoming EP, Death Cult Rainbows, tilts from deep, narcotic groove and shimmering blooms of crystalline beauty, into throbbing, acidic loops that sweep beneath unadorned, laconic delivery, as if the band is trying to pry open a seam in their own skulls just to let some colour spill out.

This six-piece is a strange congregation pulled together from cult drone circles, neo-psych travelers, and garage-damaged misfits wandering between the US and the UK. You can hear that mix in the way the song shivers: sharp edges meeting soft haze, discipline cracking under pressure. The lyrics sketch a scene of desire soured, where beauty curdles into ache, and the body becomes a vessel for doubt. The repeated image of “clear blue tears” hits like ice water poured over a wound; longing twisted by betrayal in slow motion.

And then there’s the gut-punch behind it all: “The songs on Death Cult Rainbows, including ‘DEEP CUT,’ are a last-ditch effort to get something beautiful out into the world. I want to leave something beautiful and meaningful for my kids.” You read that and the room tilts. Suddenly, every synth tremor, every low chant, every acidic loop feels like someone clawing at the curtain between disaster and deliverance, trying to pass through something tender before the world slams shut.

Jean De Oliviera’s music video for the song compounds that sense of drifting peril: a psychedelic montage of flowing colour, the frame melting around rising British artists Daisy Rickman and Hugo Winder-Lind, with Portuguese artist T Vagabond flickering in like a messenger from some blissed-out fever. Faces blur. Light bends. It looks like a postcard from the brink, dropped in a puddle and left to bloom.

Watch the video for “Deep Cut” below:

There’s more coming from Glisten Trick soon: another single in December, one in February, and the full Death Cult Rainbows EP in March. A tour is set for March with smaller shows warming up in February. If this track is the warning shot, the rest might burn straight through the floorboards.

25.11.2025 - “I’m Your Machine” — Danish Artist Ras Bolding Debuts Tongue in Cheek Video for Sci-Fi Synth-Pop Track “Turn Me On”

Ras Bolding storms in like a wired ringmaster, dragging the ghosts of Odense’s past into a chrome-lit tomorrow. The man has always lived in a crossroads of impulses: goth mist, post-punk pulse, synth strut, 8-bit mischief, even an occasional folkish turn, but Digital Deviant is where all those wires knot and spark. Turn Me On, the album’s opener, flips its master switch with a grin and a glitch.

Bolding calls the song “upbeat.” The tempo certainly moves like a dancefloor waking up from a bad dream, but the real action is in the premise: a human chatting with a sentient machine, each one leaning a little too close to the monitor. The title winks at something bedroom-adjacent, but it’s really a tug-of-war over control: who pulls the plug, who gets to feel alive. Bolding’s voice rides the arrangement like someone testing the edges of a new toy: gleaming synth leads launching from nowhere, 8-bit sparks cutting the corners, and breakbeat stutters darting in like mischievous sprites. There’s a strange joy in hearing a song spin itself inside out and still land upright.

“Turn Me On was among the first songs written for what ended up as Digital Deviant; it is the opening track and as such I wanted it to set the tone of the album, to reflect the upbeat nature of the music, rooted in a strong sense of melody,” says Bolding. “I see it as a pop song in that it makes use of a verse-chorus structure although it does play a little with the formula, such as going from intro to synth theme before introducing the more traditional structure of verse, bridge, chorus. With the lyrics I wanted to play around with human-machine relations in a way that reflected both futuristic dreaming and dystopian warning.”

You get the sense he’s having fun pushing the buttons…literally. Onstage he’s surrounded by analogue beasts, digital brutes, and even a Commodore 64 slung like a keytar from an alternate dimension. With Alex Anarki and Kaos Korrosion at his flanks, the whole setup feels like a séance for obsolete hardware.

The video was shot in Magasinet, Kulturmaskinen, and Odense University, slamming together futurist corridors and stage setups that feel plucked from some midnight TV broadcast beamed in from 1982. Color schemes cycle like mood swings: cyan for the breaths at the edges, red for the synth premonitions, blue for the verses, green for the hook. Blade Runner hovers over it like the patron saint of chrome-soaked futures, and the editing clips along with a clean, adrenal snap.

“I don’t necessarily find the concept of performance videos all that interesting,” Bolding confesses. “…I thought, for the sake of variation, it would make sense to go for a performance video of sorts with Turn Me On. Since the song is based on the idea of a communication between a sentient machine and a human being, I decided to throw in a few Blade Runner references for general amusement, presenting my musicians and myself as a band of replicants. To add a bit of extra visual content I also opted for occasional graphics and text overlays, the latter providing info you don’t really need but which looks fancy and technical – a tongue in cheek reference to so many science fiction movies.”

It’s that mix – deadpan wit, digital dazzle, and an instinct for melodies that stick – that makes Turn Me On feel like a message from a future that never shut down the past. Bolding is rummaging through every electronic fever dream we’ve ever had and wiring them together with this one.

25.11.2025 - Alan Vega’s First Two Solo Albums to be Reissued and More! — Watch New Video for “Ice Drummer”

The Vega Vault Project and Sacred Bones Records continue their meticulous excavation of Alan Vega’s sprawling posthumous archive, unveiling newly remastered editions of his highly influential 1980 self-titled debut solo album, Alan Vega, and its 1981 successor, Collision Drive. Remastered from the original tapes and available on streaming platforms for the first time ever, these essential works return in definitive form—preserving the volatility and voltage of Vega’s original recordings while bringing them to a new generation of listeners.

Accompanying the reissues is an expanded version of Vega’s debut solo album: the Alan Vega Deluxe Edition, a limited double-LP set featuring previously unheard demos, unseen photos, original track sheets from Vega’s 1978 Suicide / The Clash Tour Notebook, and newly commissioned artwork. It offers the most extensive look yet into the creative engine behind Vega’s first steps outside Suicide.

Released in 1980, Alan Vega arrived in tandem with Suicide: Alan Vega and Martin Rev, yet marked a decisive step outward. Vega sought to carve out a personal identity built from rockabilly roots, early rock n’ roll, and his lifelong devotion to Elvis Presley. Between Suicide sessions, he began performing solo with a boombox and skeletal arrangements, chiseling a sound that was tightly wound, minimalist, and unmistakably his.

A chance meeting with young Texan guitarist Phil Hawk proved catalytic. Vega, struck by Hawk’s “blonde Elvis” aura and intuitive playing, finally found the stripped-down collaborator who could match the vision in his head. Recording each drum part individually, blending live and electronic sounds, manipulating tape, and directing Hawk riff by riff, Vega assembled a fierce, elemental debut built entirely on instinct and precision. Its standouts, like the swaggering anthem Jukebox Babe, the blues-twisted Kung Foo Cowboy, and the radiant, melancholy Ice Drummer, cemented the album’s cult status and sent quiet shockwaves through New York’s underground.

Just one year later, Collision Drive expanded the palette: grittier, more volatile, and charged with Vega’s obsessions: street life, sci-fi, politics, comics, love, and cosmic mystery. With a live drummer and a hard-rock backing band, the album delivered a broader, more explosive vision.

Watch the video below for the Collision Drive track, Ice Drummer, directed by Douglas Hart (The Jesus and Mary Chain):

After Alan Vega passed away in 2016, his circle of friends, collaborators, and family began gathering and cataloguing the vast amount of unreleased material he left behind. His first posthumous album, It, emerged in 2017 on the Fader Label. In 2021, Sacred Bones released Mutator, drawn from material Vega recorded with his wife and longtime collaborator, Liz Lamere, between 1996 and 1998. Last year brought Insurrection, the most recent archival Vega release to date, via In the Red.

“Alan was always reinventing himself,” says Jared Artaud, co-producer of The Vega Vault Project. “He was refining variation while maintaining an identifiable aesthetic.”

“Alan’s music thrived on interpretation,” adds Liz Lamere. “He resisted explaining his lyrics. He believed listeners should bring their own meaning, and that openness is part of its power.”

With Alan Vega, Collision Drive, and the expanded Alan Vega Deluxe Edition returning on January 23, 2026, via Sacred Bones Records, the ongoing work of The Vega Vault Project continues to reveal the scope of Vega’s restless experimentation—bringing new clarity, new context, and new life to the legacy he built with such uncompromising intent.

25.11.2025 - Minneapolis Artist Lindy Drifts Through the Night in Video for Haunting Lo-Fi Synth Dirge “The Oldest Man Alive”

lying cheating vile dogs
i’ll see you in the dirt before i see you at all
im the oldest man alive

Minneapolis might call him synth pop, but Lindy‘s new single, The Oldest Man Alive, from Songs Vol. 2 with Thr33bola, doesn’t sit politely on any shelf. Lindy comes at you like someone who’s been up three nights straight staring at the ceiling fan, counting every tick of existence. Side A of the album features Lindy’s peculiar incantations; Side B is Thr33bola’s parallel universe. Together, they feel like two strange radio stations bleeding into one receiver at three in the morning.

Thr33bola and Lindy
Cocteau Twins, R. Stevie Moore, John Cale, and The Psychedelic Furs are somewhere in Songs Vol. 2’s alchemical pot, but Lindy throws them in like loose pages torn from half-burned books. He admits it plainly: “Most of my music is a therapeutic tool,” and with this track, therapy looks a lot like an exorcism taped on a four-track that’s been dropped down a flight of stairs.

The lyrics chew through their own spine. They speak from a body carrying too many years, even if most of those years were spent collapsing and resurrecting in the same cramped room. You hear someone staggering forward anyway, muttering about betrayal and sickness and the small cruelties people toss around like coins. He insists he’s the “oldest man alive,” and for a few minutes you believe him. The lines sketch a figure who fight-walks through the world, grabbing snakes “by the throat,” spitting at the “lying cheating vile dogs,” and brushing dust off wounds he won’t show again. The sense of age isn’t physical…it’s spiritual corrosion, the kind that settles in when every gesture feels like a dare from the universe.

The production feeds that sentiment. Distorted vocals wobble through the mix like broken machinery humming under a streetlamp. There’s something mysterious, something eerie, but not in the haunted-house sense; more like a pawn shop keyboard channeling They Might Be Giants on a paranormal day, or Bruce Haack’s ghost fiddling with Gary War’s delay pedals. It’s jagged, a little warm, and absolutely personal.

The video, filmed by Keaton Miller, leans into the strangeness with quiet conviction. A figure in a balaclava drifts through a nighttime park, seen under a full moon that feels too bright for comfort. Every movement is slowed to a trance-walk. He prays, he pauses, he looks like he’s waiting for a sign taped to the bottom of the sky. Miller splices in stock footage and bits of historical art, as if memory itself keeps interrupting the present. The mixture unsettles, charms, and ultimately deepens the portrait: a man carrying centuries in his bones while wandering past playground equipment at midnight.

The Oldest Man Alive gives us Lindy as a cracked prophet of his own psyche: bleary, bold, and standing dead center in his peculiar mission of survival.

24.11.2025 - Eros Descends into a Post-industrial Hellscape with Lana Del Rabies’ “Omnipotent F**K”

In the hush between heartbeat and dream, where the mind slips loose from daylight’s logic, Eros begins its descent. We like to imagine love as radiance – a flare across the dark – but the oldest myths knew it also as a force that drags the psyche toward its own underworld. If we could peer inward with a telescope’s clarity, the subconscious would appear as a vast, unlit cosmos, its constellations shaped by fear, memory, and hunger. In that internal sky, Eros moves like an ancient comet, its tail streaked with obsession, fantasy, and unresolved wounds.

Long before psychology mapped these territories with quieter tools, mythology traced their contours. The Greeks gave us Persephone’s descent into half-light; Mesopotamia offered Inanna stripped of her identities on her way into the land of the dead. These stories reveal how longing leads us into chambers carved by our own shadows. Demons – incubi, succubi, whispering spirits – are merely sketches of psychological forces too overwhelming to name outright, embodiments of our unease with our own appetites.

Eros is no gentle visitor. It bypasses reason, infiltrating us with symbols as old as civilization. Between who we believe ourselves to be and what we find in those hidden rooms, the underworld opens.

Lana Del Rabies plants her flag in the psychic fault-line again, and this time the tremour feels like it’s coming from a place older than language, older than ritual…older than whatever name we’ve given the thing that keeps us wanting. Omnipotent Fuck, a title that practically hisses when spoken, doesn’t behave like an album. It thrashes, chants, convulses. It arrives as four unbroken takes, each one sounding as if it were dragged out of her chest mid-possession, a raw conduit rather than a composition.

Where others map their obsessions, Lana Del Rabies charges headfirst into hers. These pieces roar, mutter, quake, and boil with a pressure that feels cosmological. Growls coil around metallic hums. Wails split the air like torn fabric. Screams climb the walls and shake loose the plaster. It’s eros in its most volatile state: desire stripped of romance and exposed as the engine of fear, hunger, myth, and ruin.

Beneath all of it, something colossal stirs: the divine feminine rising in pure, unfiltered rage. Not ornamental, not symbolic…feral. A force that has grown tired of being shushed, ignored, abused, and used. Her voice becomes an eruption, an incantation that burns through centuries of suffering. She channels the heat of goddesses who once walked unchallenged across fields of blood and birth, justice and destruction. The record feels like a summoning of that long-buried power, the return of a presence that never left but was warned to stay silent. Inanna is with us. Hekate is with us. Lilith is with us. Baba Yaga is with us.

The video for Wisdom Split feels like Maya Deren summoned through a dirty mirror: her surrealism reborn with a sharper edge, a ritual dragged into the present with its teeth bared. It moves with that uncanny dream-logic she mastered, where every gesture carries an omen and every cut feels like a door opening somewhere you didn’t intend to go.

Nightmarish, sensual, uncomfortably intimate, the piece syncs with the track like a heartbeat laid over a fever. The images don’t accompany the music so much as fuse with it: sound and vision sparking off each other in a kind of ecstatic collision. It’s the subconscious blowing its hinges, spilling symbols, bodies, and fragments of ritual into the room. A perfect, unnerving communion between noise and image, as if the song itself crawled behind the camera and whispered where to point it.

The trilogy began in 2025 with Le Temps Viendra and will close with an upcoming full-length, but Omnipotent Fuck hangs in the middle like a flaming oracle…neither beginning nor end, just the fevered present tense of descent. Call it death industrial if you need to shelve it, though even that feels too tidy. This is subterranean psychic cartography. This is the subconscious cracking open and letting its old queens speak.

A co-release from Phage Tapes and Lana Del Rabies’ new imprint Feral Crone Recordings, the project marks a shift toward something sharper, wilder, more willing to let the wound speak for itself. To explore eros is to acknowledge that we are shaped by forces as old as creation, forces that can swallow reason whole. Lana Del Rabies steps into that furnace without hesitation. What she drags back is furious, volcanic, unforgettable.

Play it loud during your next doomscroll.

15.10.2022 - THE WIDE release their second albumn "Smile"

What is the difference between a charming smile and a broad grin? The finesse, the latent subtleness, the secrecy and the not quite obvious. In this sense, the title “SMILE” of the new THE WIDE album is a time travel into the subconscious, musically floating between dream pop and indie rock, soundwise perfectly balanced, almost like its very own genre in a musical cosmos divided into categories.

Originating from Mönchengladbach / Germany, the band goes beyond musical boundaries with their second album (following the debut album “Paramount”, 2018). The five musicians from Scotland, England, Switzerland and Germany see themselves as crossover artists who come together again and again like attracted by a magnet to create a homogenous, room-filling sound with every tune and every note of their songs.

"Smile" will be released on october 29th via Echozone / BOB-MEDIA

16.09.2022 - new singles and videos releases from MERRY CHICKLIT

The German alternative electro artist MERRY CHICKLIT has released a number of digital singles and an album entitled "Frau und Technik" in recent years. As part of the current collaboration with the ECHOZONE label, all upcoming releases will now appear and distributed via BOB-MEDIA.

With the club edition of "Mein Weg", a previously released song will be released on September 16th as a completely new version including an extensive remix package as well as a video clip. The club edit as the opener of the EP / single is much more danceable, but keeps its slightly wacky style and charm, whereas the "Imperfexion Remix" starts off really rocky and then swings back into a trippy-groovy sound in the "Tide Studio London Remix". The "Khalid AX Remix" turns everything upside down again with an industrial-experimental sound and clearly takes the previously mentioned wacky character to the extreme.

More singles will be released in the coming months, which will then become part of the forthcoming new album, which is scheduled for release in spring 2023, also on physical CD.

16.08.2022 - New HEMESATH Album release in autumn 2022

Following the release of the first single “Heile Segen” (True Blessing) for the tour with MAERZFELD in May of this year, HEMESATH release their new album “So Schön” (So Beautiful) on October 7th.

Musically the new songs tie in with the previous album “Für Euch” (For You), but also go a considerable step further in every aspect. By now, the band has long shed the limitations of the so-called “Neue Deutsche Härte” (New German Hardness) and demonstrates that hard German rock music can do more than just beat and thrash.

All in all, “So Schön“ (So Beautiful) proves that rock music with German lyrics can be exciting, energetic as well as emotional and, in the end, offers lots of fun.

09.12.2020 - New Soulimage Single IMPERIUM previews the upcoming album

On February, 26th Soulimage are gonna publish their new single „Imperium“ via Echozone to set the stage and fire up the mood for their upcoming album.

Mastermind Rob E. Soul’s quintet stays true to its previous musical development. In comparsion to the last album „Human Kind – Animal Mind“ the new song has an additional proper pinch of heavy metal influences thrown into the mix, nonetheless Soulimage never neglect the electronic, grooving foundation that has always formed their style.

The result is a kick-ass mixture of steamrolling guitars and melodic synthies with Rob’s voice being the familiar bond that keeps it all together. It will immediatly find its way into the listeners‘ ears and necks. the Spanish electro-project Cyborgdrive contributes, as so often, a successful remix version of the single song. The single’s flip side consists of a re-recording of „Generator“, building a bridge to the band’s eralier musical creations and bringing them up to speed.

The original track from the album „The Whole Universe“ is dominated by synthies, the re-recording is much more rocking while maintaining the groove that makes the song so great. While being a bit slower than „Imperium“, the song is still a beast of its own that has nothing to hide. It perfectly demonstrates the band’s ability to combine elements from different styles and make it their own. „Raining Blood“, the third song, is the finishing touch.

As a ballad comprised of nothing but piano and vocals it is musically as far from the other two songs as can be but thanks to Rob’s prominent voice it still is infused with the distinctive Soulimage vibe and a testament to the band’s range.
