Die Hardcore / Noise / Punk-Band ULTRABLUT hat nach „Alphaerklärer“ mit „Temu Kobain“ den Opener ihres kommenden Albums „Tja“ veröffentlicht. Es ist nach der 2024er-EP „Teneriffa“ das erste Album der Deutschen und wird am 13. Juni 2025 via The Lasting Dose Records erscheinen.

„Tja“ wurde von Jan Oberg (EARTH SHIP) im Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin produziert, während das Cover-Artwork von Sänger Christian Lansky (GRIM VAN DOOM) stammt.

Ana and Emilio, the minds behind the project, effortlessly summon the moody energy of late-night cityscapes, drenched in neon and nostalgia. Think Twin Tribes colliding gracefully with Molchat Doma, with playful nods to Spandau Ballet and Martin Dupont peppered throughout.

Right out of the gate, Everyday wraps you in an atmospheric embrace of longing and loss. Ana’s voice threads vulnerability and bite, conveying raw emotional aches of abandonment and desire. It’s music tailor-made for driving aimlessly through dim-lit streets, feeling beautifully lost. Next, the rhythmically addictive Kletka Fantasma packs a punch with eerie echoes and synth lines that sparkle like city lights through rain-slicked windows. The intoxicating dance beat belies deeper emotional currents, delving into complex intimacy and the magnetic pull of painful connections.

NoName ups the ante with a deliciously gloomy call-and-response vocal dynamic, channeling the stylish, monotone charm reminiscent of Twin Tribes. It’s effortlessly cool yet deeply reflective, evoking the inevitability of endings despite passionate attempts to hold tight. Sliding into the bass-driven groove of Prey, the band delivers a playful yet ominous groove reminiscent of Spandau Ballet’s kinetic energy (i.e. To Cut A Long Story Short) but layered with ghostly vibes. This track dances on the edge, balancing vulnerability and defiance in a thrilling power struggle.

The spellbinding collaborative gem Facade” (ft. Italia) elevates the album with airy vocals floating against deeper tones, crafting a track rich with sensuality and psychological tension. It’s a vivid portrait of repeated emotional cycles: painful yet liberating when confronted on the dance floor. Emilio takes center stage in the dance-inducing track “Say My Name,“ his forlorn vocals gliding effortlessly over cosmic synth textures. It’s a song that blends vulnerability and power, beautifully illustrating the delicate tension between surrender and self-determination.

2001″ (ft. Jacks Haupt) delivers pure club euphoria. Packed with fun synth hooks and a pulsating techno beat, this one feels primed for crowded dance floors. It’s playful yet introspective, exploring themes of emotional detachment and the elusive nature of real connection. Todos Somos Igual introduces quirky synth lines before bursting into an energetic backbeat. The dialogue between the singers reveals layers of emotional self-awareness, touching on universal truths of pain and mutual vulnerability.

The album keeps momentum with the retro-futuristic Let Me In, a track echoing the early 2000s electronic spirit of Basement Jaxx and Chemical Brothers. With striking production, it captures the tension of desiring validation within uncertain relationships. Crush dives into deliciously icy, disco-infused territory, mixing eerie synths with irresistible dance beats. Sucio has written an album that beautifully balances danceability with emotional depth, capturing both the darkness and the dazzling allure of modern post-punk, darkwave, and coldwave.

Hailing from Morbegno, Italy, Seneca Effect carves a compelling space in contemporary post-punk and alternative rock. Featuring Matteo Oreggioni’s vigorous vocals, Loris Mattarucchi’s charged guitars, Simone Della Vedova’s bold basslines, and Claudio Franzini’s thunderous percussion, the band channels an evocative 90s ethos infused with fresh melodic momentum.

Their latest album, Disertare, converts existential dread into accessible art. With poetic precision and performed entirely in Italian, the band distills global anxiety into deeply personal songs, urging listeners to step beyond comfort zones, embrace ecological awareness, and find resilience through renewal and retreat. Through spirited rhythms and fervent melodies, Disertare transforms anxiety into empowerment, and reclaiming agency in a society spiraling into ecological upheaval. Seneca Effect’s thoughtful approach bridges the gap between the urgency of their message and the infectious vitality of their sound.

Seneca Effect’s album surges forth with urgent, existential contemplation, fusing raw emotion and ecological urgency across its tracks. Disertare tears open the record with a rally to slip the city’s chokehold and trade its concrete clatter for solitary renewal. Seneca Effect calls for deliberate disorientation: abandoning predictable grids, wandering toward woods and rivers…and proposes selective forgetfulness as armour against an anxious tomorrow. Half-spoken vocals skate over ringing arpeggios, rumbling low end, and rolling toms, echoing The Veldt’s swirling finesse and early Cocteau Twins churn, haze bursts that ripple through the track’s surging finale.



Per non perderci del tutto (So As Not To Lose Us Completely) dives headlong into the need for authentic connection, casting aside emotional inertia for liberation through expressive intimacy and defiant dances amid existential dread. Dinosaur Jr.-infused fuzz guitars and languid vocals imbue the track with nostalgic depth.

In Luna in piena (Full Moon), gothic guitars ghost through stark sensations of emptiness and disillusionment, capturing life’s fleeting beauty amidst relentless internal battles. The spectral glow of a full moon symbolizes fragile intimacy and hope, conveyed through vocals heavy with prophetic resonance.

Verso la fine (Towards The End) poignantly explores emotional bonds amid global decline, embracing unity and mutual intoxication as refuge from looming oblivion. Warm mid-90s college rock textures, reminiscent of early R.E.M., underscore brief, beautiful moments of understanding amid chaos.

Eterna estate (Eternal Summer) confronts the ephemeral nature of youth, vividly depicting nostalgia against the backdrop of inevitable decline. Metal-edged guitars surge through fierce vocals, echoing Killing Joke’s raw intensity and The Chameleons’ layered resonance.

The existential urgency intensifies with Frana interiore (Inner Landslide), examining societal breakdown and collective culpability through jangling guitars and Chameleons-inspired textures. The track champions silence and peace beyond spoken words amid impending chaos.

Tra le ceneri di questo pianeta (Amongst The Ashes of This Planet) employs dark humour and quiet resignation in addressing climate catastrophe. Funk-inflected basslines and icy guitars intertwine with jazz-like rhythms, crafting surreal sonic portraits of glacial decay and collective extinction.

Andare verso Nord (Going North) captures climate-driven turmoil vividly, examining scarcity, migration, and humanity’s resilience amid existential threats. The song promotes acceptance and detachment from excess amid unavoidable loss. Tutto quel che arde

(Everything That Burns) grapples with moral ambiguity and looming devastation, searching for compassion and endurance in intimacy amid escalating external chaos.

Closing track Obbedire alla notte (Obey The Night) powerfully depicts ecological collapse through vivid imagery of drought, famine, and displacement, embodying profound resignation and acceptance amid irreversible global devastation.

With the new single Mind, Tropics (the mercurial moniker of British-born electronic enigma Christopher Ward) delivers a dizzying dance through dreamy electronica, where hypnotic harmonies entwine with off-kilter ambience. Ward, now settled in the sunlit sprawl of Los Angeles, concocts a kaleidoscope of looping vocals that linger and lure,  pulling listeners into an uncanny, rhythmic reverie.

Echoing the experimental eclecticism of Yves Tumor, the sultry seduction of Portishead, and the cerebral charm of Boards of Canada, Mind melds a subtly strange atmosphere with an insistent backbeat that anchors its ethereal eccentricities. The track’s repetition becomes a ritualistic chant, burrowing beneath the listener’s skin; an unsettling yet irresistible earworm.

While the lyrics eschew depth for visceral immediacy, their deceptively simple syllables strike at something primal and profound, conjuring a feeling rather than a story. Ward’s adept ability to blend ambience and indie inflections shines throughout his expansive oeuvre, but Mind particularly stands out, casting the listener adrift on swirling synths that summon comparisons to the musical abstractions of Oneohtrix Point Never, the woozy warmth of Mount Kimbie, and the dark allure of James Blake.

“This is a warped and disorientating moment, where I was just looping these samples, playing in drums over them and kinda mumbling this topline,” says Ward. “Really just evolved from there into this thing that kept making me bop my head and wanna play it loudly while I drove home from the studio.”

Tropics has previously found synergy in collaborations with Badbadnotgood and Petite Noir, and has been remixed by electronic innovators such as Aleksandir and Machinedrum. Even sampled by hip-hop heavyweights Wale and 6lack, Ward’s Mind now crystallizes his chameleonic talent.

The album “Reality Fever” is comprised of ten tracks and is set for release on September 3, 2025, via Modern Entity.

Die Goregrind-Band BRUTAL SPHINCTER hat einen Labeldeal bei Time To Kill Records unterschrieben. Der Deal sieht unter anderem den Release eines neuen Albums „Sphinct-Earth Society“ vor, das am 23. Mai 2025 erschienen ist. Davor haben die Belgier mit „Dirty Jazz Bondage Club“ (2015) und „Analhu Akbar“ (2018) zwei Alben veröffentlicht. Nach dem Video-Clip zu „Sphinct-Earth Society“ und dem Video-Clip zu „Beatdown Syndrome“ gibt es mit „Tony Hawk’s Pro Choice 2022“ nun einen weiteren Video-Clip.

Zuvor ist mit „Unvaxxed Lives Matter“ die erste Vorab-Single erschienen.

„Die Idee zu diesem Lied kam uns während einer unserer vielen Frustrationen über Impfgegener inmitten der Covid-19- Beschränkungen“, erklärt die Band. „Zuvor kannten wir „Anti-Vaxxer“ nur als seltsame Gestalten aus der Welt der Verschwörungstheoretiker, die ihre Kinder nicht gegen Polio oder Masern impfen lassen wollten. Doch plötzlich erlangten die Anti-Vaxxer eine beachtliche Präsenz in der Gesellschaft und schafften es zu unserer absoluten Verblüffung, ihre Ansichten in einem größeren Teil der Bevölkerung zu verbreiten. Uns ist aufgefallen, dass diese Bewegung sich immer wieder als Opfer darstellt, obwohl sie nicht die Gruppe ist, die am meisten unter der Pandemie zu leiden hatte.“

Die Alternative Rock-Band THE RASMUS hat nach dem Lyric-Video zu „Rest in Pieces“ und dem Video-Clip zu „Creatures of Chaos“ mit dem Video-Clip zu „Break These Chains“ – mit Niko Vilhelm (BLIND CHANNEL) –  eine weitere Single ihres kommenden Albums „Weirdo“ veröffentlicht. Es ist das elfte Album der Band und wird am 12. September 2025 via Better Noise Music erscheinen. Weiterhin werden die Finnen im Herbst 2025 auf einer ausgedehnten Europa-Tour sein.

Die Hard Rock-Band TIFFANY KILLS hat mit „Star Rider“ eine erste Single ihres kommenden Albums „World On Fire“ veröffentlicht. Es ist der erste Release der internationalen Band rund um Projektgründer und Gitarrist Christian Tolle (CHRISTIAN TOLLE PROJECT) und Sänger John „Jaycee“ Cuijpers (PRAYING MANTIS).

„World On Fire“ wurde von Christian Tolle gemixt und von Christoph Stickel gemastert. Release-Termin ist der 27. Juni 2025.

Die Black Metal-Band ASH MAGICK hat einen Labeldeal bei Apocalyptic Witchcraft unterschrieben. Im Zuge dessen wird das türkische Duo aus Istanbul mit „Rituals of Anathematic East“ ein neues und drittes Album veröffentlichen.

„Dieses Album wurde von einer Pilgerreise nach Mardin inspiriert, einer Region, die von alter mesopotamischer Zauberei und syrischer Mystik geprägt ist. Jeder Track ist ein eigenständiger Ritus – ein zeremonielles Tor zu Geschichten über Flüche der Vorfahren, vergessene Beschwörungen und die verschleierte Magie des Ostens“, sagt die Band.

Release-Termin ist der 29. August 2025. Vorab gibt es den Track „Day of Resurrection“ zu hören.

Die französische Grunge / Modern Metal-Band LUCIE SUE hat mit „Reckless“ eine neue Single mitsamt Video-Clip veröffentlicht. Davor ist schon ein Video zu „Hush“ erschienen. Der Song erzählt vom chaotischen Kampf einer alleinerziehenden Mutter am Rande eines Nervenzusammenbruchs, in dem sie sich der unbändigen Rebellion ihrer Kinder stellen muss.

„“Hush“ ist mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Ich war nie eine perfekte Mutter. Ich lehne die Idee von „elterlicher Aufoperung“ oder „Kompromissen“ ab, die unnötige Schuldgefühle erzeugen. Autonomie hat bei mir immer Priorität bekommen: Meine Kinder können kochen, sich zurechtfinden, sich selbst organisieren und diese Erziehung hat ihren starken Charakter geprägt. Es gibt manchmal Konflikte, sie hören nicht immer und wir sind auch nicht immer einer Meinung. Aber am Ende führt es oft zu den richtigen Entscheidungen“, sagt Lucie Sue.

Anfang des Jahres hat die Band mit „Battlestation“ eine weitere Single mitsamt Video-Clip veröffentlicht. Der Song sei dabei ein Manifest, das die Tabuthemen Ungleichheit und sexuelle Erwartungen anspricht.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS haben ein neues Album angekündigt: „A Void Within Existence“ ist das sechste Album der Black Metal-Band und erscheint am 18. Juli 2025 via Agonia Records. Mit „Nonexistence“ gibt es nun die erste Vorab-Single.

Produziert wurde  „A Void Within Existence“ von Sänger Ken Sorceron, der Mix ist von Dave Otero. Das Cover kommt von Eliran Kantor.

„Diese Platte wurde in stillen Stunden geboren, als sich alles hohl anfühlte“, sagt Sorceron. „A Void Within Existence“ ist nicht nur ein Titel. Es ist ein Gefühl, das ich beim Schreiben nicht abschütteln konnte. Einsamkeit zieht sich durch jeden Song. Die Welt da draußen brach zusammen, und in gewisser Weise auch die Welt in mir. Ich wollte über die Grenzen hinausgehen, die wir auf „Walk Beyond the Dark“ erforscht haben. Klanglich, emotional, spirituell – nichts war tabu. Ich habe das Album produziert, um dieser Vision treu zu bleiben, und mit Dave Otero am Mischpult und Mike Heller hinter dem Schlagzeug wurde alles genau so zum Leben erweckt, wie ich es in meinem Kopf gehört habe: roh, weitläufig und erdrückend. Dies ist ein Album über Abwesenheit. Es geht darum, das abzuschälen, was nicht real ist, und die Leere zu untersuchen, die zurückbleibt. Wenn danach noch etwas übrig ist – vielleicht ist es die Wahrheit. Vielleicht ist es auch nur die Leere. So oder so, dies ist das ehrlichste, was ich je gemacht habe. „A Void Within Existence“ ist mehr als ein Album. Es ist ein Schmelztiegel – eine Reise durch das Feuer, wo nur noch Schatten und Stille übrig bleiben.“

Die französische Metalcore-Band ASHEN hat mit „Cover Me Red“ einen weiteren Video-Clip ihres kommenden Albums „Chimera“ veröffentlicht. Das Album wird am 13. Juni 2025 via Out Of Line Music erscheinen. Davor hat die Band ein Video-Clip zu „Crystal Tears“ veröffentlicht. Der Song tauche in die Komplexität von Liebe, Trauma und der unvermeidlichen Trauer darüber ein, dass sich jemand bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verändert.

Die Melodic Death Metal / Metalcore-Band SLOW FALL hat mit „Mercury Moon“ einen Video-Clip ihres neuen Albums „Blood Eclipse“ veröffentlicht. Es ist nach „Obsidian Waves“ (2023) das zweite Album der Finnen und ist am 16. Mai 2025 via Out Of Line Music erschienen

Zuvor hat die Band nach „God of Oblivion“ – ein Song über quälende Reue und selbstzerstörerische Wege, ihr zu entkommen – mit „Colossus“ eine weitere neue Single veröffentlicht.

„“Colossus“ taucht ein in den Wahnsinn des Ehrgeizes und des unnachgiebigen Strebens nach Macht – eines Willens, der so entschlossen ist, dass sich ihm nichts in den Weg stellen kann“, sagt die Band.

Vor wenigen Monaten ist mit „Vendetta“ eine weitere neue Single mitsamt Video-Clip erschienen.

„“Vendetta“ ist ein Lied über Rache und darüber, was man bereit ist zu zahlen, um sie zu bekommen, oder ob man sie überhaupt will“, erklärt die Band. „Macht dich der Hass blind, oder wendest du dich gegen ihn? Wirst du von Bitterkeit und inneren und äußeren Dämonen zurückgehalten, oder bist du Herr über dich selbst?“
