16.10.2018 :: V.A. - Dependence 2017 0,00 EUR
V.A. - Dependence 2017 0,00 EURIs there a point in doing a label compilation in 2017, in the age of Spotify, automated Playlists, YouTube Overload and general lack of time of the audience? We still believe strongly that there is a point in compilations, when the material and its quality is right.

On September 15th, Dependence 2017, the new label compilation of the German premiere industrial label Dependent is being released. As always the compilation is full with exclusive tracks and mixes of the Dependent label repertoire, but hardly ever could we assemble and deliver so many strong and so diverse songs on one single disc: The atmospheric electronic composition of the soundtrack VOLT by Alec Empire sets a moody intro to be sharply contrasted by Dependent spearhead acts like Covenant & MESH. Long awaited and unreleased tracks from the Seabound side projects Edge Of Dawn & Ghost & Writer lead from Synthpop to the critically acclaimed modern industrial debut of 2nd Face to the hi-octane trance industrial maelstrom from This Morn' Omina back to the Electronic Pop cover version of the old Kinks rock classic "(Girl) You Really Got Me" by Spectra*PARIS. The exciting new Dismantled side project Lizver & The Tree delivers a great first peek into their forthcoming debut just like the Italian cult electronic act Kirlian Camera give us a first glimpse onto their next album "Hologram Moon". Newcomers Ginger Snap5, Radioaktivists and Our Banshee deliver strong contributions that will certainly see a lot of club attention. Quite honestly, we are more than just a little proud on the mix, the flow and the new additions to our Dependent Label Roster. So, to wrap this up, Dependence 2017 represents a fusion of various electronic styles, an exciting sonic helicopter-style trip through the rich and diverse label program of one of the most renowned European Industrial labels. And it additionally offers a solid sneak peek into the next months of our releases. Which playlist can offer that much?

16.10.2018 :: Kirlian Camera - Sky Collapse from0,00 EUR
Kirlian Camera - Sky Collapse from0,00 EUR"Sky Collapse" is the overture of a storm to come. Not only is it the first single from Kirlian Camera's new album "Hologram Moon", but also a dark song about falling skies and seemingly hopeless scenarios. Plus, it marks the collaboration of two of the most distinguished names in dark electronic world, as Kirlian Camera work with Swedish electronic icons Covenant on the A-side version of the track, which is also a duet between singer Elena Alice Fossi and Covenant's Eskil Simonsson.
Kirlian Camera Mastermind Angelo Bergamini:
"Sky Collapse represents memories from a recent hard period during which any possible light seemed to turn into deep darkness as if everything had been lost. The sky looked as if it had collapsed just when ... an unexpected ray of hope started shining on a gloomy evening. Here we are now, describing quite an ordeal with simple words and "dance on all those ruins", whether they stand for the past we briefly mentioned above or a hard future we'll have to face. Covenant own this particular feeling, this ability to link cold electronics with drama. We have always felt connected to Eskil Simonsson and his project, so this meeting today, on these strange roads, is just a natural result of such research in music."
Their collaboration culminates in one of the finest electronic singles we released in some time; this is why we feel that many DJs will let the "Sky Collapse" with this track on heavy rotation. [Dependent]

16.10.2018 :: Our Banshee - 4200 0,00 EUR
Our Banshee - 4200 0,00 EURSynergies between two opposite musical characters often produce most amazing results. Whether it is Mark Verhaeghen and Dirk Ivens in the old days of The Klinik or Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb in Front Line Assembly: If a diverse duo can agree on a joint artistic vision and modus operandi, the result may be something greater than just the sum of its parts. This often becomes clear when successful artists release solo records, which usually cannot compete with the quality of their collaboration.
In the case of Our Banshee, such a great synergy already exists, and even if members Agi Taralas (Greece) and industrial/noise expert Stefan Böhm (Germany) are just about to release their debut record "4200", you can already state that this collaboration is a convergence of talent with great potential. While Singer Taralas comes from a classic songwriting and electronic pop background, Stefan Böhm gathered some notoriety with Projects like Pzychobitch and Nullvektor as well as a DJ spinning this type of music. These two very different musical backgrounds resulted in an electronic work with a lot of character, and while it certainly shows influences of acts like Neurotic Fish, Second Voice or Bigod 20, Our Banshee are by no means copycats of said bands. Although "4200" does have a certain EBM feel, it is a hotbed for individuality, variety and some other quality that would suit every album well: great songwriting and strong vocals. You will have to listen to this enigmatically titled record a handful of times to fully notice these qualities, but then it becomes obvious that these are two highly professionals at work who deliver a well-rounded piece and one of the most impressive debuts this year.

Tracklist:
01. Christ
02. Devious
03. The River
04. It's Not Real

07. The Answer
08. You Had It Coming
09. B2B

16.10.2018 :: Ginger Snap5 - Against The Days 0,00 EUR
Ginger Snap5 - Against The Days 0,00 EURI See The Storm Is Coming (taken from: "I Disappear")

Sometimes the work of a record label has an interesting side effect: It defies borders, and cultures, especially with an international artist line-up like ours. Dependent works with bands from the US, Sweden, Germany, UK, Canada, Belgium, Norway, France, South Africa and other countries. With Ginger Snap5 now, we have arrived at a new place on the map: Ukraine. Ginger Snap5 (inspired by the underground horror movie "Ginger Snaps") is a duo from Odessa and Kiyv, Ukraine, and their forthcoming album "Against The Days" has blown us away. Surprisingly, working with Roman Soroka and Alex Pavluk was very easy and inspired us thanks to the friendly communication we had with these two men who live in what we only know as an invaded country. This collaboration has completely warped any preconceptions we might have had about Ukraine and its people - and so does the highly modern and well-produced album that is "Against The Days."

Some will know Ginger Snap5 by a multitude of REALLY good third-party artist remixes including Pride And Fall, Solitary Experiments and Clicks, but few may know that these guys already released an album on the small Russian Label skyQode. The succeeding "Against The Days" now shows a matured band that is still committed to a hybrid of dense, upbeat EBM with glitchy Future Pop, all topped off by Roman Sorokas unique vocals.

The title "Against The Days" expresses everyday struggle of lives torn between stress, pressure and, above all, war and the invasion of the protagonists' home country: "While we finish this record, it is 2017, and in the heart of Europe we have the invaded peninsula of Crimea and the Donbass region where millions of our citizens live. Every day we read terrible news about our soldiers who die in combats, but at the same time, it dictates us to feel courage and resolve. We must fight and win this battle - both on the inside and outside. This is what "Against The Days" is about", explains spokesperson Alex Pavluk. With this background, Ginger Snap5 have delivered a highly unique and thrilling record that sets new impulses and defies borders. The lyric quote "I see a storm is coming" (from "I Disappear") is true in more than one way.

16.10.2018 :: Mesh - Live at Neues Gewandhaus Leipzig from0,00 EUR
Mesh - Live at Neues Gewandhaus Leipzig from0,00 EURIt was a memorable event when MESH received standing ovations from 1.900 attendees at their sold-out concert in Gewandhaus Leipzig, Germany, in October 2015. Together with a 65-person classical orchestra, the Brits had performed under the heading "Gothic Meets Classic" and managed to convince even the most sceptical of minds. Not only were the quartet's melancholic compositions a perfect fit for the orchestral arrangements; thanks to the fantastic work of classical producer and pianist Conrad Oleak, the evening remained unforgettable amongst those in the audience. Also, Mark Hockings proved once again that he is one of the best live vocalists the scene has.

The five tracks were recorded in superb audio quality by sound engineer Jacky Lehmann (Saxon, Schiller) whereas Conrad Oleak was responsible for mix and mastering, not to forget the 5.1 surround sound of the audio DVD of the limited edition. Under his aegis, MESH also recorded three additional tracks in his studio ('There Must be A Way', 'Can You Mend Hearts', 'Before The World Ends'), using a smaller ensemble with piano, thus being able to offer us a full CD of high quality classical recordings.
Dependent does justice to this sonic opulence by releasing it on CD, limited edition 180 gram vinyl with gatefold cover and in a lush box set named "Großer Saal"-Edition. The latter includes CD, audio DVD with 5.1 mix and vinyl plus a 48-page hardcover artbook (30x30 cm), a softcover book including the sheet music and a hand-signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. 16.10.2018 :: Lionhearts - Companion 0,00 EUR
Lionhearts - Companion 0,00 EURLionhearts is the artistically ambitious solo project of Seabound singer Frank Spinath whose first effort, the self-titled album "Lionhearts", was released in mid 2017. Sound-wise his debut was rather introverted and experimental. Now, Spinath follows up to the album with "Companion", a real companion in the true sense of the word
"Companion" consists largely of remixes made by friends Spinath chose and asked by himself. We know, what you suspect - that this might be a collection of second-rate material, but this is definitely not the case! "Companion" simply blew us away and is way stronger than the majority of superfluous remix EPs within this genre. It is more club-friendly, catchier than the album, yet still stylistically coherent und a logical successor to the debut from which the original songs come. The remixers are by no means unknown: Iris, Acretongue, Olaf Wollschläger, Forma Tadre, Mildreda, Architect and Ben Lukas Boysen (Hecq) himself, they all epitomise high-class electro and have already collaborated with Spinath in different situations. The reason for the high quality of the mixes on "Companion", feast for discerning electronic fans, is still an interesting one. It might be due to the fact that Spinath chose the participators on his own and put the tracklist together by himself.
It is also surprising that electronic reinterpretation suits these unassuming songs so well. Whether it's Olaf Wollschläger's straight, club-oriented approach in 'Gone', the sophisticated, warmly pulsating 'To What I Dont Know' by Hecq, the epic, percussive 'No Going Back' by Mildreda or the more intimate, laid-back interpretation of the same tune by Forma Tadre - All of Spinath's "Companions" have surpassed themselves. Listening to the tracks, you don't actually think it's a remix album, that's how well they fit together, not least in terms of sound and production.
The proverbial cherry on the cake is the new composition 'Stars'. "Companion" will be your soundtrack companion for all life situations.

Tracklist:
1. Gone (Olaf Wollschläger Remix)
2. The Ardent City (Architect Remix)
3. To What I Don't Know (Hecq Remix)
4. No Going Back (Mildreda Remix)
5. Stars (Demo Version)
6. Gone (Acretongue Remix)
7. The Ardent City (Hecq Remix)
8. To What I Don't Know (IRIS Remix)
9. No Going Back (Forma Tadre Remix) [Dependent]

16.10.2018 :: Kirlian Camera - Hologram Moon from0,00 EUR
Kirlian Camera - Hologram Moon from0,00 EURThe stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. (Isaiah, 13:10)
"We can nowadays almost certainly conclude the moon is likely to be a hologram." (Kirlian Camera "Hologram Moon", scientific appendix, quoting astrophysicist Giuliana Conforto)

"Hologram Moon" is the first Kirlian Camera album after five years in which Elena Alice Fossi and Angelo Bergamini, amongst other things, engaged in their side project SPECTRA*paris. In October 2017, the duo returned with the spectacular single "Sky Collapse", the title track of which was sung together with Covenant's Eskil Simonsson. It dominated the German Alternative Charts for several weeks and keeps heating up German dancefloors.
However, "Sky Collapse" was only a portend of something more epic. The album "Hologram Moon" shows Kirlian Camera at the peak of their turbulent career. Dependent are going to release this hypnotic masterpiece in between pop, electronics and pathos in three different formats (Digipak CD, double vinyl and limited 2CD book edition). Several compositions are bound to repeat the club success of "Sky Collapse", be it "Eyes Of The Moon", "Traveler's Testament" or "Polaris-IHS", another collaboration with Eskil Simonsson
"Hologram Moon" is also fascinating due to its lyrics. The Italians are discussing a conspiracy theory that lent the album its title, suggesting that the moon is no harmless earth satellite but a visual hologram hiding an artificial, possibly alien construct. Merely guesswork? In any case, on "Hologram Moon", Kirlian Camera engage in a subversive play with perspectives and alternative realities. [Dependent]

16.10.2018 :: 2nd Face - Nihilum 0,00 EUR
2nd Face - Nihilum 0,00 EURWith his 2017 debut "Nemesis", 2̵n̵d̵ f̷a̶c̴e̷ was newcomer of the year amongst many dark industrial fans. Likewise, the media praised Vincent Uhlig's project for its compelling music, a hybrid of old and new school industrial with an excellent sound. The latter stems from the fact that the studio crack from Mainz, Germany, is a professional engineer, working with an arsenal of current synthesizers as well as models that are 40 years old.

Now his new EP may be titled "Nihilum", meaning "nothing", yet don't be mistaken: The a-side, contained in two versions is a consummate burner, uniting harsh basses with acoustic samples and compelling vocals. Club drive meets intense drama, raising expectations for the forthcoming studio album.

The other three tracks 'Long Live Humanity', 'Nuclear Winter Is Coming' and 'Blind Wanderer' seem controlled in comparison, but no less show how the artist has progressed: Uhlig proves to be stylistically more diverse than his first record made you believe. 2̵n̵d̵ f̷a̶c̴e̷'s second strike will be even deadlier!
Please note: The "Nihilum" EP is limited to 1000 copies only! [Dependent]

16.10.2018 :: Empirion - I Am Electronic/ Red Noise from0,00 EUR
Empirion - I Am Electronic/ Red Noise from0,00 EURThe much admired techno-industrial hybrid act from Essex is coming back with an absolute banger of an EP containing perhaps the strongest tracks of their entire career. 'I Am Electronic' is a grinding breakbeat/trance maelstrom with an irresistible vocoder voice refrain that makes the track instantly recognisable and absolutely irresistible on the dance floor, while 'Red Noise' represents the industrial roots of the band and updates Nitzer Ebb style EBM with IDM elements and strong vocals. Also featuring strong remixes and two exclusive tracks, this is an unmissable comeback! [Dependent]

16.10.2018 :: Radioaktivists - Radioakt One from0,00 EUR
Radioaktivists - Radioakt One from0,00 EURIt is hard to believe that it is already 5 years since Radioaktivists made their recording debut via the compilation 'Dependence 2012', on which the German quartet offered up the song 'Pieces Of Me'. A strong and danceable electronic anthem, it not only impressed DJ's, but also had fans clamoring for a full album. However, the band decided to take time to hone their sound and overall modus operandi before delivering the meisterwerk that is 'Radioakt One'.

But who are these activists? Frank Spinath, psychologist and lead singer icon of various groups/projects that include Seabound, Edge Of Dawn and Lionheart, is here working for the first time with Daniel Myer (of Haujobb, Architect and Liebknecht), despite the fact that both musicians lived in the same city of Bielefeld for several years. Krischan Wesenberg is well known as the studio wizard in the duo Rotersand but has also made a name for himself as a sound engineer, producer and remixer for other artists. Sascha Lange is the author of several books on the Depeche Mode fan scene and underground DJ culture in the former East Germany.
This diverse line-up have eventually aligned themselves and forged an album that lives up to early expectations, although 'Radioakt One' also reveals other unexpected surprises. Con-taining elements of Club, Dark Pop and what Lange calls 'Electronic Shoegaze', the term 'Electronic Noir' has already been applied to it. An album of depth with an al-most introverted feel, a series of short stories form the core of the electronic narrative and help forge the intriguing and unique identity of Radioaktivists, including a tale written by Lange included in the Limited Edition that relates a late night encounter with a mysteri-ous female hitchhiker on a rain-flooded German motorway.
Radioaktivists have certainly taken a walk off the well-trodden path with their debut album. Although offering strong club oriented songs such 'Raiders' and 'Reach Out', it also shines a spotlight on their moodier and more subtle 'Electronic Noir' compositions and invites the listener to explore its depths and different sides over repeated plays.
